## What is Siedle for Access?

The Siedle App for Access turns the iPhone or iPad into a mobile extension of a Siedle Access door intercom system: You see who is at home at the door, talk to visitors at the entrance and open the door if required - no matter where you are. The connection is established via WLAN or the mobile network* (e.g. 3G). The video image is immediately available. The voice quality meets Siedle's high requirements, and the door is opened with a fingertip on the familiar key symbol. 
The Siedle App for Access can also perform switching and control functions, for example for door openers, lighting, garage doors or blinds. Switching and control functions are encrypted for safety.

* The Siedle App for Access transmits the audio signal via the data channel of the mobile network (VoIP). 
Depending on the mobile contract conditions of the provider, this use may be unavailable or subject to a charge. The quality of the audio signal depends on the current status of the mobile connection. 

Important notice:
The Siedle App is a mobile extension to a door intercom system and does not replace an indoor unit. For this reason, Siedle always recommends to use a wired indoor station in addition to the app.
