However, I am unable to open the app. Every time I click on the app, it automatically kicks me out. I even uninstalled and reinstalled it. I can’t see how much battery I have on the lock. Frustrating. ### 1/5 — Garbage App *2026-03-21, version 2.9.0* The software sucks, the lock itself is terrible. The verification codes never go through. Once account is set up the temporary password never work. The fingerprint feature never works. Absolutely garbage, save your money and buy a better product. Simple actions now takes extra steps, important features are hidden like Easter eggs, ads keep increasing. Every update seems more focused on monetization instead of usability. That’s why you can’t see increments. You previously could choose increments up to 60 seconds. Now it only defaults to 5 seconds. Want to use their app and get notifications when someone enters your door? The door works. My older phone has the Sifely (original) app and it works just fine still. You have no option to turn off marketing ads either - a flagrant violation of Apple’s TOS. ### 1/5 — Buggy and spams ads *2026-06-26, version 2.9.6* The app has numerous bugs. At one point I got completely locked out of my account and had to recreate it through my phone, then email, then delete both before I could get back in. The instructions aren’t clear or helpful, which makes it very difficult for customers to use properly. I’m not sure how the other brands works because ever since I bought the first Sifely smart lock, I never thought about getting a different brand. It is easy to use, provides a lot of information that I need for my rental rooms.
