## What is Sift?

Your photo library grows by itself. Sift shrinks it back — privately, on your device, with you in control of every deletion.

SCAN ONCE, SEE EVERYTHING
Sift scans your library and builds a clear picture of what is taking up space: exact and near-duplicate shots, blurry photos, and old screenshots you never meant to keep. A single health score tells you how much clutter you are carrying, and the dashboard shows exactly where it hides.

DUPLICATES, FOUND PROPERLY
Sift compares the actual image content — not just file names or dates — using perceptual fingerprints. Bursts, re-saves, edited copies and messenger re-downloads are grouped together, the best shot in each group is marked KEEP automatically, and you can override any choice with one click.

BLURRY SHOTS AND SCREENSHOTS
Missed-focus photos are detected with a real sharpness measurement, tuned so your deliberate portraits with soft backgrounds are not flagged. Screenshots are sorted by age, so last year's boarding passes and login codes are easy to sweep while recent ones stay put.

ONE CALM MONTHLY SWEEP
Instead of nagging you every day, Sift proposes a single monthly sweep: review the plan, untick anything you want to keep, and clean the rest in one action. Everything you remove goes to the system Recently Deleted album, where it stays recoverable for about 30 days. Nothing is ever deleted permanently by the app.

PRIVATE BY DESIGN
All scanning and analysis happens on your device. Your photos are never uploaded, there is no account, and Sift contains no analytics or tracking of any kind.
