## What is Sift?

Dump every worry in your head into one list tonight, and by morning Sift has sorted it into three piles for you. Act: the things you can actually do something about. Noise: the things to let go of. Recurring: the worries that keep coming back. You wake up to a shorter list than the one you went to bed with.

The sorting happens overnight, on the phone itself. Nothing you write ever leaves the device, there is no account to create and no server to trust, and you can switch on airplane mode at midnight and still wake up to a sorted list.

HOW A NIGHT WORKS
Type whatever is nagging you, one line at a time: a money worry, an email you didn't send, a vague fear about work. You don't have to organize it, tag it, or rate your mood first. Getting it out of your head is the part that helps immediately, and it is the only part you have to do.

Then you put the phone down. While you sleep, Sift reads back what you wrote, distills it, and files each item into Act, Noise or Recurring. In the morning you open a settled list instead of the tangle you left. The pile that kept you up shrank while you slept.

WHAT SIFT NOTICES OVER TIME
Worries repeat, and the repeats are the useful part. Sift keeps count and tells you plainly: "Money has come up 6 times in two weeks." Then it stops. It never advises and it never talks back. Seeing the same worry named six times is a different experience from feeling it six times.

WHY IT IS DIFFERENT FROM OTHER WORRY APPS
Most of them hand the triage back to you and make you sort every thought by hand, which is the work you were trying to stop doing. The rest send your private thoughts to a server so a model somewhere else can read them. Sift does the sorting for you and keeps every word on the one device it started on.

NOTHING NAGGING YOU TO COME BACK
Sift has no streaks, no badges and no points, and nothing scolds you for missing a day. You come back because the morning list is calmer, not because an app is pestering you.

PRIVACY
Nothing you write ever leaves your phone. No account. No sign-in. No cloud. No server. The nightly sort runs on your device, which is exactly why it still works with the network switched off.

WHAT SIFT IS NOT
Sift helps you sort and let go of worries. It is not therapy, a diagnosis, or medical advice. If you're struggling, please reach out to a professional or a crisis line.

WHAT'S FREE
Capturing your worries and sorting them by hand is always free, and there is no account to create for the free tier or the paid one. Sift Premium adds the nightly automatic sorting, the recurring-theme insights, and your full worry history.
