## What is Sifter Finance?

Sifter Finance is the mobile companion to the Sifter platform for investment groups and student-managed funds. Sign in with your Sifter account to follow your fund on the go.

PORTFOLIO
- AUM, day change, and performance against a benchmark
- Holdings as a list, heat map, or table, with sector weights
- Risk status at a glance, with a note when a holding is on watch

RESEARCH
- Search any US-listed stock by ticker or company name
- Price charts with 1M to 5Y windows, key stats, next earnings, and analyst targets
- News, market movers, and watchlists that sync with the web app

CHANNELS
- Real-time team chat with threads, images, and polls
- Live data embeds: quote a ticker, an economic series, or your portfolio inline
- Push notifications for new messages and replies

DISCUSSION
- A ticker-tagged board for pitches, questions, and debate with your group

Portfolio values update live from the market, no website refresh needed.

A new Advanced stats page under the portfolio chart: year-to-date return, volatility and tracking error against your benchmark, returns over 1, 3, 6 and 12 months, the five best and worst holdings today, a sortable table of every holding, concentration, and sector weights against the benchmark.

Change your password from Settings. Forgot it? Reset it from the sign-in screen with a code sent to your email.

A new personal account with no holdings yet shows a sample portfolio, priced live, so the app is never empty.

Every page now has the same title and a clearly labeled back button.

### 1.0.3 — 2026-09-08

The League has a new shape. It opens on one page: your week, the ladder with every player's stats, your leagues, and the open seats. Inside a league there are four screens: This week, My team, League, Chat.

The Sprint is on the phone: call a stock against the S&P 500 over two weeks and say how sure you are. It goes on the same record as the website.

Home is lighter, More holds the rest, and the app tells you when a new version is ready.

Portfolio values now price live on your phone. Your AUM and position values update with the market instead of waiting for a refresh on the website.

Performance statistics (return, alpha, beta, Sharpe, max drawdown) are still computed by the Sifter web engine and now show the date they were computed.
