Bluetooth come on about 2 seconds and goes off. ### 3/5 — Refuse to fix bug *2023-07-09* I’ve contacted sig about the issue with the MV-Temp table in the profiles you set up. You can enter muzzle velocities but never the temp associated with the velocity. You can tap all over the place and maybe just maybe, it’ll let you enter a temp. Other than that little bug which should be a glaring issue, the app works great and syncs to my kilo rather nicely. I’d prefer hornady4dof but Applied Ballistics is cornering the market for integration with kestrels etc. ### 2/5 — No big updates and piss poor customer service *2023-05-16, version 348* Have had the scope and app for over a year-not really seen any updates come out for all the new calibers-like the 7mm PRC or 8.6 Blackout-two builds I’m working on. Called Sig-even with their name/ brand on the app-says that they have no control over the app or updates-seems that if you produce optics that supposed to work with the app-you could at least keep up with the changes in the industry-guess once they get your money-they don’t really want to deal with you-I first try to contact them with the customer service request on their website-over a month with no reply-finally was able to get them on the phone-a short useless call-“we don’t control the app” ### 2/5 — Missing inputs and glitchy *2022-09-11, version 294* App does not allow for some important inputs also the MV Temp doesn’t work I can enter a velocity but not a temperature. It’s nearly impossible to see the fonts and the colors chosen.Need to just keep it simple with a dark background and light taxed or black and white. Way too hard to read. ### 3/5 — Was working Fine - Then a “Bug Fix” Update *2021-11-27, version 232* As of Nov. 24th 2021, I downloaded an update to the app. Now I cannot switch between custom load data profiles. I have only 9 of the 25 allowable profiles defined so it’s not over loaded. This is on a new iPhone 12 w/128G of memory. Prior to this the app worked perfectly, and dialed me in to a 580 yard shot on an Antelope, just last month. Writing this here because I haven’t found a solution. Don’t want to delete and reload the app, (I would loose my 9 profiles) but I expect that’s what SIG will advise. On another note, can I suggest 2 improvements. 1)- The ability to sort the profiles by name or caliber. 2)- The option of renaming the paired devices. I have 2 scopes and I can’t ever remember the serial number of each one. Let’s get ‘er done. 😎 ### 2/5 — Great system, but library is lacking *2021-06-25, version 164* What is the library missing 30-06? ### 4/5 — Great application; needs to be updated concerning the entry of decimals *2020-04-18, version 118* Dear all, Many thanks for this great app. It works fine with my Kilo 1800 BDX and the Sierra 3 BDX 4.5-14x50. When entering values with decimals (e.g. 3.80 cm are desired for scope height) the app only provides a comma on the numerical pad that shows up. Entering 3,80 will result in 3.00. The app needs to be reprogrammed to provide a point for the entry of decimals. This may only apply to customers outside the US, but the problem needs to be solved. Keeps crashing on gun profile ### 1/5 — Needs bug fixing and for DRM to be removed *2022-06-19* Some improvements have been made to the UI but there’s a ways to go. When you press “export” on the range card, the numbers that show up in the email are different than the range card- major bug. It’s also annoying that you have to connect the range finder every 60 days for the range card to work- i got surprised by this DRM function at the range, of course when I did not bring the range finder and I was trying to sight in. Find another way to control access that doesn’t make your products unreliable. I just expected better for the money you’d spend on the products that go with this app. There also needs to be a canted sight base option… after all, this is supposed to be for long range shooters, no? ### 1/5 — Kilo1800 BDX will not pair *2021-07-21, version 175* Will not discover/pair… iOS 14.7 🤷‍♂️ ### 1/5 — Thought was good but *2020-08-02* Right away firmware does not work, besides that not behaving as I expect a device like this should behave. I pair it with some HDX Kilo6K binoculars and have not had an issue for a while. Initially the app had to be synced with my binoculars for the binoculars to get the correct temperature or else it would default to -18°C and that could throw my shot off by one or two tenths of a MIL. The app updated my binoculars just fine and I have not seen the -18° glitch since 🙏🤞 and it’s been over six months. I do wish I could plug in values on the ballistics page without needing to be Bluetooth connected to a device. ### 5/5 — Second BDX *2024-12-15* Very nice scopes. Once you learn the app everything is pretty simple and very versatile. The below elevation data truncation bug and windage direction bug have been fixed. Great news for all us 5K owner’s!! UPDATE: 13 May 22 SIG just released a BDX iPhone app “minor bug fix”, none that fixed any of my below documented problems. SIG also had a KILO5K firmware update available today, which I installed. The update didn’t fix any of the below FW related bugs documented below. My KILO3000BDX binoculars continue to perform flawlessly. But the KILO5K is a chronic mess. It appears that buying LEICA is a much smarter purchase decision for advanced monoculars. KILO3000BDX binoculars and KILO5K monocular. Range a target with a negative angle of -10 degrees or steeper, iPhone BDX app reports -1… degrees. Reported in Jan 2022 & still not fixed. KILO5K. Kestrel 5700 Elite correctly reports scope correction of say, 5.13 MIL up and 1.42 MIL left. KILO5K display correctly shows 5.1 with UP arrow, but incorrectly shows 1.4 with RIGHT arrow. Blindly believing display would put shot twice as far off in windage. SIG has known about this for a month and hasn't yet fixed it. Tested using KILO3000BDX binoculars and windage correctly displays 5.1 with UP arrow and 1.4 with LEFT arrow. KILO5K. Elevation data truncated rather than correctly rounded. Windage data correctly rounded, but with reverse arrow. Say Kestrel reports 1.58 UP and 2.27 LEFT. KILO5K incorrectly reports 1.5 with correct UP arrow and correctly reports 2.3 but incorrectly uses RIGHT arrow. KILO3000BDX correctly reports and rounds Kestrel elevation, windage, and arrow directions. SIG: Please fix all these known BDX app and KILO5K firmware bugs now, rather than waiting and waiting to collect many more bugs and do a major bug fix release. It’s obvious you have plenty of significant bugs to fix right now!! Thanks. ### 5/5 — Solid technology *2019-09-26* I have been using this for a year now. It had made life much easier for hunting and target practice. As an outfitter I can hand the client my rifle and use my range finder and know that range and firing solution is accurate and dependable. ### 5/5 — Great App And Love The Product! *2019-04-04* I recently purchased the BDX 2400 kit and used this app to configure everything and it works great! If I could ask for one thing though, it would be that you made an Apple/Smart watch app so I wouldn’t have to have the phone out for updates certain things! ### 5/5 — Awesome *2018-10-14* This system is great. Took the click counting and dope dialing out of my long range hunting. The system is easy to use and is accurate. I use the system in my 308 and 224 Valkyrie. I have nothing bad to say about it. But I do wish it would go to 1000 yards, I just dial that in when needed. ### 4/5 — 300 PRC *2026-02-13* I love the combo and have no issues at all. Probably will just return this Kilo3000 *2022-02-02, version 233* I have tried for a while to get this app to “Pair” with the Kilo3000 range finding binoculars. No luck. Even tried deleting this app and re-installing, no luck. Bluetooth is turned on, binos turned on (hit range button, display is lit up) but it does NOT see the device. So now what? Update! Ok, so maybe this can help someone else. I moved my location as I wasn’t able to get a Bluetooth connect - if there are too many “devices” ( Bluetooth ) nearby it gets confused (I’m guessing) as now it does work and is connected.
