## What is Sigbot?

Sigbot turns the email signatures in your Outlook into a contact book you can search by name, company or trade, and call from. It is built for construction teams, from site managers and project managers to estimators, buyers and the office, where the subs, suppliers and consultants you need are spread across everyone's inbox.

HOW IT WORKS

- Connect Outlook or Microsoft 365 with your Microsoft account. Sigbot's Outlook app is publisher-verified by Microsoft.
- Sigbot reads each email to find the signature and files the name, job title, company, phone, email and address as a contact. Nobody types anything in.
- After your first scan, Sigbot checks your mailbox for new mail by itself: daily on paid plans, weekly on Free. You can also run a scan whenever you like.
- Scans run on Sigbot's servers, so you can close the app while one runs.
- Works with Outlook.com, Hotmail, Live and Microsoft 365 work accounts. Gmail and other mail providers aren't supported.
- Most companies approve mail access for outside apps once, for everyone; that is Microsoft's default. If yours asks, the web app at sigbot.app gives you the link to send your IT admin.

ON SITE

- Search every contact by name, company, job title, trade or phone number.
- Contacts can carry a trade (UK trade packages or Canadian MasterFormat), so searching a trade such as Plumbing shows just those people.
- Show the list by Recently added, A–Z by first or last name, or grouped by company.
- See your contacts on a map or in the Earth view, satellite imagery with place and street names that turns into a 3D globe as you zoom out, and search a radius of 1 to 300 km or miles around any site or place.
- Turn on Caller ID so calls from your Sigbot contacts show their name and company, without adding them to your address book. Turn it off and the labels go.
- Scan a business card with the camera, on every plan, Free included. No signal? The photo waits on your phone and is read when you're back online. Note where you met and file the card straight into a folder.
- Add a contact from a screenshot or photo on your phone. Sigbot reads the details for you to check.
- Read a vCard QR code, or another Sigbot user's QR code, to save their details.
- Share your own details as a QR code, or publish them as a web page anyone can save you from.
- Bring in contacts from Excel, CSV and vCard files, or from saved emails (.eml and .msg).
- The dashboard shows which contacts are missing a phone number, job title or location, so you can fill the gaps.
- Your personal folders and your team's folders come with you. Team folders are read-only on the phone; save a copy of any teammate's contact to your own list.
- Works on iPhone and iPad, in light or dark mode.

IN THE WEB APP AT SIGBOT.APP

- Newsletters and no-reply mail go to a review queue instead of your contacts, and merges can be undone.
- Bounced addresses are flagged and left out of exports; nothing is deleted automatically.
- Export the whole list to Excel or CSV whenever you need it.

PLANS

The Free plan scans 150 emails a day, holds up to 1,000 contacts and includes business-card scanning. Paid plans raise the allowances. Sign up in the app with Microsoft, Apple or email.

PRIVACY

Sigbot asks Microsoft for read-only access to your mail. It never sends, moves or deletes anything. It reads each email in memory to find the signature and keeps only the contact details, never the email itself. Only a signature block, or the text read from a screenshot you choose, may be sent to our AI provider to read it, and you can switch AI reading off. If you choose to copy contacts into your iPhone's address book, that happens on your phone and the address book is never uploaded. Sigbot Ltd is a UK company registered with the ICO (ZC202535), and your data is stored in the EU. Full policy: sigbot.co/legal/privacy.html

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 2.1.3 — 2026-10-26

- Earth view on the Map tab: satellite imagery with place and street names, and a 3D globe you can spin when you zoom out. Your pins, search and radius work there too.
- Sort the map’s list nearest or furthest first, and filter it by trade, your own columns (like Preferred or a rating), tags, company and more.
- Edit contacts fully on the phone: trades, tags, notes and your own columns, and add them to a folder. Team contacts can be edited where you can edit their folder.
- Add a contact from a screenshot or photo: pick it from your photos and Sigbot reads the details for you to check.
- Import from your phone: pick people from your phone’s contacts. They go into a personal Phone contacts folder, and you can add any of them to a team folder. Sigbot asks before treating two records as one person.
- Review possible duplicates on the phone, one pair at a time.
- Contacts you add show on the map within seconds.
- If your company needs IT approval for Outlook, the app now gives you the link to send your IT admin, even after you close Microsoft’s sign-in page.
- The switch for AI reading of signatures is now on the Profile tab.
- A new launch animation in Sigbot’s look.

### 2.1.2 — 2026-10-20

- Your contacts come in much faster: the newest show almost at once and the rest follow without the long wait.
- Opening the app no longer downloads your whole contact book again; only what changed since last time.
- Switching between Dashboard, Contacts and Map responds straight away.
- Smoother map when you pan and zoom.
- Search waits for a pause in your typing, so the list keeps up.
- If the app opens with no signal, it keeps trying and loads your contacts once you're back online.

### 2.1.1 — 2026-10-11

- Scan business cards on every plan, Free included. With no signal, the photo waits on your phone and is read when you're back online. Note where you met and file the card into a folder.
- Contacts show their trade, and the search finds trades: type Plumbing to see just those people.
- List your contacts by Recently added, A–Z by first or last name, or grouped by company.
- Map: choose any radius from 1 to 300 km or miles.
- Caller ID can label calls from your Sigbot contacts without adding them to your iPhone's address book.
- Your team's folders are on your phone.
- iPad: your list and a contact's card side by side.
- Light mode, following your phone's setting.
- A fuller dashboard: top job roles, growth and where your contacts came from.
- Your contact card lives in your Sigbot account, so it matches the web app. Publish it as a web page if you like, and get a new link at any time.
- Scan another Sigbot user's QR code to save their details.
- Two-step verification at sign-in and before deleting your account, and single sign-on for Enterprise teams.
- Import Emails shows the AI reading switch before your first scan.
- Your sign-in is kept in the iPhone Keychain.
- Clearer messages when sign-in can't connect.
