### 2/5 — Eh

*2026-06-13, version 2.11*

It’s not THAT bad but honestly the auto assessment grading is really bad… I got very high scores for getting many notes wrong, and very low scores for getting everything right. On D major, it does not understand that the c string of my cello can’t do a C sharp. Do not recommend! Just practice with your teacher. It’s just better that way :(.

### 3/5 — Good for practicing, not for beginners

*2026-04-28, version 2.10*

I wanted to download the app to learn to sight read as an absolute beginner, and it just didn’t offer that. I’m sure it is a very helpful tool for more advanced musicians, not recommended for beginners though.

### 2/5 — Can’t create an account?

*2026-02-21, version 2.10*

I’m not sure how to get started with this app.I am not able to create a new account?

### 2/5 — 15 ejemplos gratis solo. Luego pago anual

*2025-12-02, version 2.10*

15 ejemplos gratis solo. Luego pago anual

### 2/5 — Really?

*2025-07-30, version 2.6*

the sight reading is so freaking unreal

### 2/5 — Doesn’t print

*2025-06-24, version 2.6*

Print button says my app is not up to date. App Store says it is. Can print to annotate my mistakes to improve.

### 4/5 — Good but wish there was even more complicated options

*2025-05-08, version 2.4*

SRF is incredibly helpful for me as a violin player, but as a more advanced player it kind of annoys me that the max leap you can choose is an octave, i wish there were bigger leaps.

### 3/5 — Uh

*2025-03-23, version 2.4*

Kind of annoying

### 2/5 — Terrible

*2025-01-24, version 2.3*

First off, this app is amazing to use but ONLY AT SCHOOL, otherwise you have to pay 45 bucks for it and I would think that there would be a free mode but there is not! I was wanting to get it so I could work on my practice pad schools at home but they said NOPE to allowing me to use it without paying.

### 4/5 — Viewing Issues

*2024-10-03, version 2.2*

Update: The developers of this app are INCREDIBLY responsive. In just 2 days of my original review (see below) the developers had released an update that mostly fixed the issue. It’s still not quite as automatic as it used to be which is why I’m giving it 4 stars, but it’s useable again! I LOVE this app and it’s ability to hone in on specific rhythmic and pitch skills. I use it with my students ALL the time.

Original Review: First off I would like to say that the ideas behind this app are incredible and it should be a five star app(ORIGINAL RATING OF 2 STARS). I have been a user for years and have been very happy for years. This is unfortunately negated by the viewing issues that were created in the last major update. Previous version of the app automatically zoomed, and resized to make the music fit the best in the available viewing area. The current version relies instead on pinch to zoom, but the app controls are also included in the zoom field so on an iPad it’s very easy to zoom in to the point that you don’t have access to the controls (such as the next button). Please restore the previous viewing/zooming defaults so that it properly displays on whatever screen is being used. Pinch to zoom being essentially required to be used make the app unusable.

### 3/5 — Please help me to open your app

*2024-09-20, version 2.1*

Hi dear developer
I just downloaded this app from apple store
I can not open your app ( it stops on the level of singing in)
As I can not pass the process of signing in
The app os constantly on the loop is asking me to sign in and then it redirects me to my email
Then from there I try to change password and again it’s not giving me the pass
What should I do ?
Help me please

**Developer response:** Hi Andy, thanks for the feedback! We just released a new version of the iOS app (2.2) which allows the pinch/zoom gesture to scale the music on the music page. Can you update your app to the latest version and try again and see how that works for you now?

### 2/5 — Broken as of new version

*2024-08-12, version 2.0*

Previous version was decent, but the update breaks the audio altogether. Plus they removed dark mode.

### 3/5 — Could be better

*2024-07-15, version 1.46*

I’m giving this app three stars because it doesn’t have any fun things like Duolingo when you know you get achievements and then you can buy things and you have a lot of fun learning but this one has nothing of that and you can only choose one time signature or random and multi select doesn’t work but also major F for BF trumpet sounds just like major C and this one doesn’t have any in the tempo. The only tempo that you can choose is 112 BPM (beats per minute) and I would like it if you could choose the tempo for the practice.

### 1/5 — Can’t create an account?

*2026-06-04, version 2.11*

I’m not sure how to get started with this app.I am not able to create a new account?

Update: received a response stating that the “app is designed to provide access to existing users” yet you can’t create an account to become a user…
Don’t waste your time

### 1/5 — Broken app

*2026-05-10, version 2.10*

I stopped hearing the audio which is very frustrating.

### 1/5 — Aïe, la confidentialité

*2026-01-19, version 2.10*

Je ne comprends pas qu’il faille rentrer son email et le mot de passe de ce même email dans l’appli.Très louche, tout ça. Je désinstalle donc. Dommage.

### 1/5 — Not worth it

*2025-07-18, version 2.6*

$45 is too much for this app. I would value this at around $30 to $35 max. I just saved my money and got Tomplay which is more expensive but more worth it for the money, IMO

### 1/5 — issues

*2025-04-05, version 2.4*

i can’t create an account for this app. whenever i try to, it won’t let me

### 1/5 — Cannot log in.

*2025-02-25, version 2.4*

I downloaded the app. I created a user name and passcode. When I enter them in, the log in screen just blips with a short timer and then returns to the log in screen.

### 1/5 — ahem

*2024-11-24, version 2.2*

how can i use app if i cant make an account?

### 1/5 — Useless

*2024-08-11, version 2.0*

There is a sign in but no way to sign up. This is a useless bogus app

### 1/5 — I

*2024-04-03, version 1.46*

This app is super complicated and over priced

### 1/5 — Good idea, expensive fail

*2024-02-18, version 1.46*

I purchased the annual subscription, created the account, only to find there is only ONE tempo for practice, 117 bpm.

That’s fine if all your music is at that tempo. I would like to learn at differing speeds.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Fantastic App

*2026-07-02, version 2.11*

I am absolutely blown away by how effective this has been. I went back to 1st principles getting tempo and correct notes. I have spent many hours going through this rather addictive process. Suddenly this morning it all clicked and all the hesitation had gone from my fingers.

I can really now see the light at the end of the tunnel for sight reading. I am really enjoying playing this way, and the constant barrage of new pieces, without the frustration of looking for them means I just keep going.

I can’t tell you how happy I am to have finally started to unlock what has been a closed book to me for many years.

### 5/5 — Excellent

*2026-03-13, version 2.10*

Excellente appli pour travailler le déchiffrage ! Hyper personnalisable, je ne peux que recommander

### 5/5 — Great

*2025-12-06, version 2.10*

Non stop sight reading, worth the subscription if you're serious and if you're a teacher. Very useful for students and anyone trying to improve, I do wish they'd do lead sheet since they already have the algorithm to have function harmony in their sight reading, that'd be my only complaint and also maybe just a nicer looking UI too

### 5/5 — Great Learning Tool

*2025-09-08, version 2.8*

Not really sure why all the negative reviews. This thing has helped me greatly with my sight reading, has had no tech issues, is easy to use and it’s a very fair price for what you get.

### 5/5 — Not sure why there are so many low star reviews but…

*2025-03-06, version 2.4*

I love this app. I was worried it would be desktop only. It works perfectly for someone who was never a music student and wants to go back and learn from the beginning. $45 is a little steep it would be nice to get an option to own the course forever, but many models are similar, just think of Ultimate Guitar at $90 for tabs! Excellent all around and plenty of promo codes out there to make it a little cheaper.

### 5/5 — Improved

*2025-01-04, version 2.3*

This app has a lot of bad reviews but they really have improved and this has GREATLY improved my sight reading lol

### 5/5 — Great

*2024-12-10, version 2.3*

Useful and practical

### 5/5 — Excellent

*2024-09-27, version 2.1*

### 5/5 — Amazing

*2022-11-22, version 1.39*

Sight reading practice requires a LOT of music to work through, and this nicely fills that requirement. Ive just started my second year using this and my sight reading has improved considerably. It would be nice to have some more customisation, for example having accidentals appear in the earlier levels, or have modulations for multiple keys, but I could understand this is difficult as its algorithmically generated music.

The music isnt up to a human’s standards but its good enough for the purpose of developing sight reading chops. The app (or website) doesnt seem to remember when i select “none” for symbol and keeps reverting back to solfege every time i open up a new session which is annoying.

### 5/5 — It’s a great tool!

*2022-10-20, version 1.39*

Great tool for practicing random notes. Shame there is no wrong note detection feature though.
