It works quite well, once people quickly getting used to the iPad interface. I especially like being able to customize the app's fields, but wish there were more customizable fields. Also, I really appreciate the .csv export of the data because I can open it in Excel and then import the list into my email program (Constant Contact); on the downside, the exported data mushes two fields together, e.g., rather than maintaining separate first and last name data, they get combined; the same happens with the third and fourth field, which I used for email address and city of residence, so combining those makes no sense at all. It would also be good if the app recognizes people from previous events and autofills their data. All in all, a good program that could and should be much better. ### 4/5 — Great app *2012-02-11* It's a great app. Wish they had a separate place to add logo behind "sign up" while pics can still scroll in background. However, great for purpose created. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Too many bugs to be useful *2015-04-23* This could have been a great app, but there are so many problems. The configuration changes do not all work. The "Require all" function does nothing and people are entering incomplete information, sometimes in error, that is useless. You cannot, apparently remove the Comments field even though the interface indicates you can. You cannot rename the Comments field. And, you cannot contact the provider (the support link in iTunes takes you to a page without contact information and no way to find it). Really disappointing. **Developer response:** Hey Wordie, It's been 4 years, but wanted to you let you know that we recently resumed this project and addressed your concerns here. Disappointed that you not remove fields you don't want to use, especially if you want to make them required. You can't choose to make only certain fields required. The download feature does NOT export the csv data fields correctly (the headings and first data field are combined). Very simple and user friendly. However, I need to share to mail chimp and it will only allow me to open a "read-only" file in Excel. Which means I would have to rewrite every email into MailChimp myself!!! Hoping creators can help, otherwise this app is pointless and I could've just taken emails in a text app. So I figured out there's a specific way you have to save it so that mail chimp can upload it. **Developer response:** Happy to help! We will look into Mailchimp integration in the next release. Give us a week or two and check back. Great for our upcoming trade show event. ### 5/5 — Easy and impressive *2015-03-24, version 2.04* Love this for fast trade show signup. Takes customers less than a minute to sign up. They love it. We have this app displayed in a kiosk type stand and we have positive compliments from vendors and customers. It make our small company look bigger and more professional. We customized three backgrounds incorporating our logo and products. It's a beautiful and impressive presentation.the data collected is easy to export by email and imports beautifully to Constant Contact. I'd rather have fewer contacts at the end of a show that are the RiGHT contacts, than a bunch that were just scanned because they walked up. Scanners rent for a lot of money and as a small business i have better places to spend that money. The easy opt in is great. I know everyone that signs up wants to hear from us. Great marketing tool. Thank you!! ### 5/5 — Does one thing, and does it extremely well! *2012-03-19* We needed a simple app that we could use at trade shows to collect names and email addresses from attendees. Everything else we looked at was either bloated with extra 'features' we'd never use or so overpriced to be laughable. SignUp offers just enough flexibility in configuring how it is set up to appear to be a much more expensive, custom written app while still being intuitive to set up and use. I bought an earlier version, and made a couple feature/enhancement requests and received a quick reply from the developer. Further discussion ensued and two of my requests made it into this version. That's great customer support! Looking forward to using this app at trade shows and events for a long time to come! ### 5/5 — SigUp Events *2012-03-11* This app is very simple to use and effective at the task it's made for, collecting information from users while displaying an elegant interface that can tailored to your event is one of the major reasons I gave this app high marks. Their Support Department is quick, friendly and responsive. I look forward to updates that may be made in the future as this app has a promising future. ER ### 4/5 — Nice App - Easy to use *2014-11-13* I downloaded the app even after seeing the two previous reviews. In my opinion the app is very easy to use, straightforward and to the point. I found my way around it very easily. If you use the require all fields option then you will not get a confirmation that someone has signed up because they haven't completed all the fields. In general if you keep the sign up simple then this is a quick and great app to use in the field. Suggestions for change are to give the option for me to determine which fields are required individually rather than all or none. Great start - a few tweaks and this is perfect. 👍 Let's Go Ya'll!!!!!™ ### 4/5 — Please add two more function *2014-09-28* I like this app, really made collecting contact info easier, but i would agree with the other review. Please allow signing up for several event, and it would be great if the info all displayed in a nice chart. ### 4/5 — Almost there! *2014-01-16* The app interface is great and simple to use. Unfortunately seeing all of your contacts information is terrible. If it had an option to bring up a separate page or just displayed one contacts full info at a time it would be good. For some reason it was initially emailing me all of the people who signed in a row, now it's sending in a nice chart. Although the chart and the app interface would be nice if it would alphabetize it automatically. The only other request would be for it to allow you to have multiple events saved.
