For some reason, it is no longer working. It will either start to record, then stop. Or it won’t work at all. The Faber SLM app seems to be working fine, so I’m not sure why the oscilloscope and FFT have stopped functioning. Very disappointing especially considering the price we pay for the subscription. ### 2/5 — Takes over txt and csv files *2024-11-16* The app takes over basic file types on the phone and does not allow overrides. ### 3/5 — This app like most in apple appl store *2024-10-31* This app is cool it has a bunch of features but for mapping sound. Any one who will need something like this alot will have desk top software that goes with their DAW, considering that fact it's significantly over priced. Totally inaccurate. No way to calibrate it that actually works. And even adjusting input volume in macOS settings doesn’t result in a significant change in amplitude. Are you kidding me? EDIT : I don't have a problem with paying for a good product, but not even letting you do an fft renders the free portion of the tool practically useless. The FFT Analyzer tool in SignalScope X offers more than you might find elsewhere for a comparable price, including multi-channel analysis (up to 16 channels, simultaneously, in real time), audio sample rates up to 768 kHz (with suitable hardware), a precise data cursor, data export (to MAT or CSV files), high resolution PDF graph generation, real-time data overlay over previously captured data, and many other configuration options. It's designed for lab-grade measurements. Charging a fee for the hard work invested in making a top-tier audio spectrum analyzer is how we stay in business. Deleted and moving on. **Developer response:** Hello. Some features in SignalScope X are completely free (no subscription required). All other features are available via subscription. You can choose one subscription in SignalScope X for free for the first 14 days (the Pro Tool Set subscription unlocks everything). This is the free trial. There are many apps out there that claim to be sound level meters and octave analyzers. They do not have calibrated and verified mesurement capabilities. You can trust the results from SignalScope. You cannot from many other apps. Also, those who complain that SignalScope costs money do not understand the technical issues of making good quality measurements. It takes much engineering knowledge and skill to develop and support an application like SignalScope. I am not a fan of cliches, but it is true, you get what your pay for. ### 5/5 — Captured (saw) hum in vehicle when others didn't. *2022-11-02* I had a low amplitude hum in my motor vehicle after a crash and repair. It was irritating me but two other spectrum analyzer/FFT apps didn't "see" it, probably because of road rumble noise that was almost as loud, overwhelming the measurement. Well thought through design with a lot of nice touches. ### 5/5 — Better than expected *2021-09-29* I’m a long time user of AudioTools and Smaart. So far this application looks good, is responsive and less buggy than others. I know it’s expensive and subscription based but the other tools are quite expensive as there is not a large user base. SPL calibration worked flawlessly. For live sound I love that I can simultaneously monitor RTA, spectroscope, dB at multiple weightings and sound exposure etc. I’ve also tuned with dual channel measurement and worked flawlessly(although I slightly prefer Smaart for this one thing…). Only thing I haven’t sorted is how to change scale of Y axis to custom ranges I’m interested in…. The fact that this works with single subscription on my phone, iPad and Mac really deals the deal for me. ### 5/5 — Best scope app in the market *2019-10-18, version 10.8.2* Great app, full of options, with a good support: i had an issue with my old ipad 4 not displaying the waveform, solved couple days after I pointed it out to the support team. Thanks Ben! ### 5/5 — Great audio analysis tools *2018-08-03* SignalScope X audio analysis tools offer quite a lot of signal information in exchange for the monthly subscription rate. With the newest release, Faber Acoustical gives the user even more bang for their buck with the addition of new sound analysis tools such as “RoomScope,” and enhanced file handling capabilities which can be used even without a subscription. The variety of subscription plans and rates provide pro audio analysis solutions that accommodate any budget. ### 4/5 — Powerful Software With Odd Limitation, Skimpy Manual *2025-03-11* I've been kicking the tires to decide whether to subscribe. Right off the bat I was mystified by the apparent lack of the ability to store and retrieve various setups (after setting up a tool and its parameters) for making different measurements and/or setting up different displays. Since there is no manual, and the meager help file doesn't address this, as best as I could determine the software just retains the setup that exists when the program is quit.
