It’s exactly like old school alchemy I used to play on yahoo games! Searching for how to play alchemy is actually how I found this game. Challenging, fun, and addictive. The only issue/change I have is I wish you could start at the furthest level you make it (for me 13), instead of having to start back at 10 each time. This game is so challenging on the higher levels (which I love) but it seems impossible to make it all the way from 10 to 15 without losing once to unlock the next level. **Developer response:** I've added a new option to start from your top level. Please check the latest version. Thanks for the feedback. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Quickly become too hard to complete *2022-03-04* By about level 7 the game starts to become nearly impossible to complete other than by random luck. This is a knock-off of the popcap original bit without any thought into how to make the game playable. ### 2/5 — Way too many ads *2026-01-21, version 1.1.9* Ok, but so many ads that I got annoyed and deleted it. ### 3/5 — Used to be better *2025-01-16, version 1.1.9* This is a great relaxing game and I used to really appreciate that the ads were both relevant and short. Lately they have been neither. Repetitive ads for other apps are already the worst and now I have to sometimes sit through 2 60-second ads before and after each round, which is more time watching ads than playing. ### 3/5 — Ads are super annoying *2024-08-26, version 1.1.9* I loved Popcap’s game, and this is a great remake of it - 5 stars for the game. A few weeks ago I tripped over a thread (maybe on Reddit???) where this app was mentioned. It has filled the Alchemy void. Thank y’all. So I gave only four stars because I’ve been stuck on level 25 for a while. There are hardly any gray blocks or red Xs in the queue. I didn’t think much of it until the levels progressed in difficulty. That’s the only flaw: OG Alchemy included an occasional gray block and X where Signs gives two gray blocks at the beginning of this particular level and that’s it. ### 4/5 — Love it *2022-11-08, version 1.1.9* It’s a fave game of mine. I’ve been searching for years and finally came across a thread on Reddit talking about this app. Thank you developer! It’s been fun and challenging … not too hard and not too easy. Paid to get rid of the ads. Worth every penny. But I would love to see a few enhancements. A white background option would be great. I sometimes have trouble differentiating the rune colors. As another reviewer mentioned, the ability to replay your current level instead of getting set back to the beginning. Also would like to see one “undo”, or the ability to re-place the current rune.
