The issue is their user experience is deeply flawed and they don’t seem to care much about it. Tough to navigate and the pop up ads make it nearly impossible to use at times. I literally can’t even scroll down before getting hit with an ad. It’s this a the AMC app that are fighting for the worst app ever. It is rapid fire, sometimes 5-6 adds in a row. I refuse to pay a dime to upgrade (apparently the only way to minimize the adds) for a company that ha obviously sold its platform to the pop-up marketing vultures and completely rendered it actual product useless. Popup ads are so rapid-fire that you can scarcely accomplish anything. They block your entire phone screen. Navigation throughout system to login and go to signup page is so bad that it doesn’t work. No communication from SignUpGenius management about what is going on and what we need to do to signup to our signup site. All I get are adds for needing volunteers and more adds, when we are already paying extra to NOT get adds. I’ve begged to talk with a decision- maker but they only communicate via email. Our group is fed up and wants to dump SUG soon. The amount of ads, and crashes that happen while trying to operate this piece of garbage application is jarring. The app will put you back at page 1 after deliberately pressing next page just trying to find a date to volunteer. It’s pathetic. This app should be thrown in a dumpster fire. Every page is just white with a few text items. Dashboard is just a single drop-down option box with some. other insignificant text. Option does not take user to previous expected page. Also, did I mention the pop up ads? I just had to close 5 pop up ads that were stacked to look at the app and once they were closed, two more popped up. All I want do is go in and check to see who’s playing pickle ball with me. And the app serves me one useless ad after another and reopens the same ad multiple times after I’ve closed it. I’m wondering if this is simply some kind of ad fraud trying to collect pennies from unsuspecting advertisers? And every time I login, the interface has changed. And then I can’t even get to my own dashboard because they keep moving it under different and unexpected choices. Which don’t work, because the adware gets in the way. The only thing I could imagine them doing is reverting this back to where it was about two years ago. To do anything from my phone is a bit difficult because there is an add every few seconds. If you can handle that, then you are good! Bounce backs permanently disable the email address in the system, even though the delivery problem may be temporary. This makes it harder to rely on the system to make notifications. It does send an email to the admin, but it is not different in title from a successfully sent notification. ### 3/5 — Lots of room for improvement *2023-05-15* We use this app for scheduling about 35 volunteers weekly. Some functions are available on the mobile app. But it’s clunky. You can’t easily look in advance without scrolling through tons of other data for a future sign ups. When our volunteers make a mistake on their sign up (we have about 10 slots) we can’t easily change that even with administrator access. And it can’t be done from the mobile app. It must be done on a tablet or a desktop. What I’d really like to see for volunteer versus slot changes is an admin user that can click on the volunteer delete them and place them where you want them! When are we going to see an updated version? ### 3/5 — Very helpful but the ads are excessive *2022-10-03* We use Sign Up Genius a lot for the school I volunteer at. It’s a great tool. The website is great and does everything I need it to. The mobile app is okay but currently the ads are taking up literally half of my screen. I don’t mind the ads at the very bottom since it’s a free app but half the screen is ridiculous. The app itself is just okay.
