## What is Sikum?

Sikum brings two Hebrew audio workflows into one private workspace: turn speech into editable text, and turn text or documents into speech.

SPEECH TO TEXT
Record a conversation, meeting, lecture, interview, lesson, or idea—or import an existing audio file. Sikum transcribes Hebrew directly on your device, with optional speaker identification, timestamps, speaker renaming, and full transcript editing.

TEXT TO SPEECH
Paste text or import PDF, DOCX, and TXT documents. Review and edit the extracted text, choose between the bundled Noga and Ari voices, then generate audio locally. Pause or resume generation, listen with playback controls, and export the result in M4A, WAV, CAF, or AIFF.

ONE ORGANIZED LIBRARY
Keep transcriptions and narrations together. Search titles and content, add labels, mark favorites, edit your work, delete items, and share or export only when you choose.

BUILT FOR IPHONE AND IPAD
Use the focused phone experience or an adaptive two-column iPad workspace that keeps your library and selected content side by side.

PRIVATE BY DESIGN
There is no account and no server processing. Speech recognition, speaker processing, pronunciation, and speech generation use models bundled with the app. Your recordings, imported documents, pasted text, transcripts, generated speech, and labels remain on your device unless you deliberately export or share them.

Works without an internet connection after installation. Hebrew and mixed Hebrew/English text are supported for narration.
