After uploading a photo it asks for first name, last name, education, etc… on this page I filled everything out and the “next” option wouldn’t work..?? Not sure how this app has good reviews. I’ll try again later and if it works I’ll revise my review

There a million ways to get verified other than placing “legal documents” on an app... and what proves that documents will get deleted at the end of the verification process... not worth it

This means that identity verification is one of the first and most important things our members need to do before they begin using Spark. 

We wish that we lived in a world where verification like this was not necessary, but unfortunately, scammers and spammers are real. Therefore, we believe that any measures taken to keep our community secure are worth it. We are convinced that scammers will not pass through the security barriers that we have created.

We have found many scammers and spammers attempting to become members of the Spark community, and it is quite shocking to see how many are out there. But we will not back down in this battle. For these reasons, we have put in place a strong security system in which members are required to verify their identity before networking with others on Spark.

This new version makes optional the Identity Verification Step at the end of the sign-up process.

So, starting from this version, non-verified users will be able to use Sila. 

Verified users will be distinguished from non-verified users by a blue badge near their name.

As a non-verified user, you will be able to see non-verified profiles only! You can, of course, request verification at any moment by clicking on "Request a verification" on your profile screen.

As a verified user, it is up to you to decide if you want to see only verified profiles or also non-verified profiles. You can enable this option on the "Discoverability" screen. Non-verified profiles will never be able to see your profile unless you decide to swipe right on them.

A profile validation is still required before a user can start to use Sila, and any profile that doesn't respect the Sila guidelines will not be validated and allowed to use the app.
