## What is Sila Tehilim?

Sila Tehilim is the app of silatehilim.com for reading Tehillim: the Hebrew, a translation and a transliteration. Everything that matters is already inside the app and opens with no connection.

TEHILLIM FOR TODAY
The app opens the chapters set for today. The Hebrew date and the day's chapters are worked out on the device itself, so the daily reading is there even where there is no signal.

ALL 150 CHAPTERS
Every chapter comes with the vocalised Hebrew, the translation and the transliteration. Each panel can be turned on or off on its own, and the type size adjusts. Hebrew always stays Hebrew.

The app carries five text editions in all: Hebrew, a Russian translation, a Russian transliteration, the English of JPS 1917, and an English transliteration. The English interface shows the Hebrew alongside the two English texts; the Russian interface shows the Hebrew and the two Russian ones.

RESTING PLACES OF THE TZADIKIM
An archive of 238 burial places; 236 of them carry coordinates and are marked on the map. The list and the markers live on the device and open with no connection — only the map's background comes from the network.

NEAR ME
Sorting the resting places by distance is computed on the device itself. Your coordinates are not sent to our server, or anywhere else.

THE JEWISH CALENDAR AND YAHRZEITS
A calendar of the yahrzeits of the tzadikim. Star the ones you remember and the app reminds you on the eve and on the day. A second day of yom tov outside Israel, a yahrzeit in Adar in a leap year, a yahrzeit on the 30th in a month that has 29 days: the app asks how you reckon it, and follows what you choose.

ARTICLES, BOOKS AND VIDEO
The library of the site. An article you have opened stays on the device and reads again with no connection.

NO ACCOUNT
There is no account — no name, no email, no telephone number. No advertising, no tracking, no third-party analytics. Notifications arrive only if you switch them on yourself; without them the app works in full.

Sila Tehilim is a non-commercial project for the spreading of Torah. The app is free.
