## What is Silent Killer?

Silent Killer: Hoistway Havoc

You are the mechanic. One elevator shaft, and a whole building's worth of things trying to end your career the hard way.

Ride the car top through a living hoistway. Chuck wrenches at whatever rattles loose, dodge the sparks, cash your paycheck, and keep one eye on the counterweight at all times. They call it the silent killer for a reason. No warning, no mercy, just a wall of steel and gravity doing its job. Touch it once and you are done for good.

WHAT IT IS
A fast, funny arcade dodger built with real love for the elevator trade. Every hazard, every tool, every boss comes straight out of a mechanic's worst day on the job. If you have ever set foot in a hoistway you will laugh at every joke. If you have not, you will still be sweating by floor three.

THE JOB
Drift the car toward your finger. Your tools fire on their own so your hands stay free for the only thing that matters: not dying. Bank your wages, climb the floors, crank the difficulty, and drag the bosses out of hiding.

THE ENEMIES
Governors that scream, doors that fight back, contactors gone rogue, and a whole lineup of bosses in hard hats and cheap suits who each think they run the building. Spoiler: the counterweight runs the building.

MODES
Endless. Boss Rush. Callback. Training. Overtime. Turbo. Pick your poison.

THE SILENT KILLER
A slab of steel on the rails, sliding down the edge of the shaft while you are busy with everything else. It does not beep. It does not flash. It just arrives. Keep the car moving and never, ever stop watching it.

Clock in. Cash the check. Do it again.

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 2.10.0 — 2026-08-20

Silent Killer now has an Apple Watch companion, and it comes with the game.

HOISTWAY HAVOC, on your wrist:

Steer the car with the Digital Crown, or with your finger. Whichever suits you.
Watch the chevrons and get out of the counterweight's way. It does not announce itself.
Tap to hit the E-STOP.
Clock in, work the shift, take your wages, all without reaching for your phone.

It installs alongside the phone game. Nothing extra to buy, nothing extra to download.

On the phone: a crew, and a panel worth reading.

MEET THE CREW. Somebody rides the car top with you now, and you pick who. The original mechanic is your default hire; the rookie, the old-timer, the apprentice and the foreman each work the shaft their own way. Whoever you equip is who shows up, on the car and on your pay stub.

THE SHIFT CONTROL PANEL, REWORKED. Banked wages, best paycheck and your daily streak sit at the top where you can see them. Shift, crew and difficulty are one card, with the amber plunger right under it. The shop, the logbook and your settings are one tap away on the tab bar instead of buried down a long scroll.

RANKINGS AND ACHIEVEMENTS, for real this time. Rankings are one tap under CLOCK IN, and on the debrief. Twenty-three boards across three sets: Night Shift Records (High Paycheck, Paycheck of the Week, Top Floor, Longest Shift and more), the Career Ledger (lifetime wages, inspections, shifts worked, daily streaks, and how many times the Silent Killer got you), and Best Paycheck by Job Type. Every certification on your board is an achievement too, and anything you earned before connecting posts the moment you sign in. Your rank shows right on the Call Board.

Plus polish and fixes. Same shift, same counterweight, running cleaner.

### 2.8.1 — 2026-07-19

A fresh coat of paint, top to bottom.

NEW OPENING CINEMATIC. Dawn at the yard, one extremely rude raccoon, and a long drop straight down the shaft before you ever clock in.

NEW APP ICON. Your mechanic, hard hat lit, wrench up, riding the hoistway. Go peek at your home screen.

Also tidied up a few things in the opening so nothing sits where it shouldn't.

The counterweight is waiting.

### 2.8.0 — 2026-07-18

THE BIG ONE: a new opening cinematic, the full 2.5D rebuild on every screen, and a coat of machined shine over the whole game.

NEW OPENING CINEMATIC
• FIRST CALL: the Worth Elevators truck charges in at dawn, a raccoon commits several crimes, and your mechanic drops straight down the hoistway into the job. Skippable, but why would you.

THE WHOLE HOISTWAY IN 2.5D
• Everything on screen is drawn with real volume: the crew, the car, all 15 failing parts, all 10 bosses, the shaft itself.
• Your mechanic wears a molded hard hat, harness, kneepads, and lugged boots.
• The counterweight finally looks like the ton of steel it is.

A COAT OF SHINE
• Machined INTEGRITY and boss gauges, cut with segment ticks.
• The main menu idles inside a living hoistway.
• Every thrown tool is forged with real depth, down to the loose change.
• Wages roll like an odometer. Purchases flash their receipt. Paychecks get stamped PAID.
• The emergency stop wears a charge ring. Floor numbers slide past on the shaft wall as you climb.

FIXES
• The final boss now introduces itself by its actual name.

### 2.7.0 — 2026-07-13

THE WHOLE HOISTWAY, REBUILT IN 2.5D

• Every single thing on screen is now drawn with real volume — the crew, the car, all 15 failing parts, all 10 bosses, the shaft itself.
• Your mechanic got a full redo: harness, kneepads, lugged boots, and a hard hat that's actually molded.
• The car grew into a real machine — roller guides riding channels, diamond-plate deck, grooved sheave.
• The counterweight finally looks like the ton of steel that kills you.
• Machined control-panel menus; the E-STOP is a real mushroom button that travels when you slam it.
• Massive cleanup: no more visual noise — and it runs smoother than ever.

### 2.5.7 — 2026-06-12

Bug fixes and improvements to keep your shift running smooth.
