No color changing, not one line drawing kind of thing, no outlining, no background. ### 3/5 — It might work *2021-04-28* I can’t get this to work. It’s really hard to get my three year old to sit for just the exact right picture and this app doesn’t seem powerful enough to manage without exactly the right picture. I will say that I couldn’t have been more pleased. They went above and beyond what I expected and helped me to create my project. Amazing! ### 5/5 — Amazing Technical Support Response *2020-09-07* I downloaded the app today because I needed to convert an image I had to a silhouette of that same image. Being (embarrassingly) so technically inept, I was not successful in doing exactly what I wanted to do (although I was able to do other cool things). I contacted “support” and asked them if they would please help me to convert the image. I kid you not, within less than one hour I received an wonderful and polite reply from the developer (Mr. Kiarash Ahi) who offered SIX ( 6 ) different silhouette versions of the my original image. When I responded that none of those 6 renditions would satisfy what I was looking to do and sent Kiarash an example of what I WAS looking for, he replied AGAIN within 30 minutes with a version I could work with. Then, as if that was not enough, I politely asked Kiarash if he would provide me with one last (specific) version just to be on the safe side, he gladly said yes and came back 45 minutes later with what I asked. Not to be omitted - as a result of the quick and thorough assistance I received, I was able to get on with my project in the same day! Above all - while I think it was amazing how quickly and how thoroughly Kiarash handled my requests for help - it is the politeness and courteousness with which he did it that has won my loyalty. It was really refreshing, particularly in this insta-throw-away-who-cares world we often find ourselves living in these days. The App itself - by the way- is a fine app, with clear and detailed explanations. By I’m not technically savvy and I was not able to figure it out entirely for my specific need. I’m wondering if Mr. Kiarash could conjure up a version of the App that would be operable even by fools like me. That’s almost an unfair request! Thank you very much for a truly wonderful commerce experience. I highly recommend!!!! ### 5/5 — It’s perfect for creating silhouettes *2020-05-04* This app does what it says it can do. It takes a few minutes to find the balance in your photographs at first but once you get it, it’s easy, effective and pretty darn cool. I initially told the developer that I couldn’t accomplish what I wanted with it and I immediately received an email back with a refund (I didn’t ask for one) and I was given a walk through on how to use the app. Whether there used to be a bug or not, there is none now and the customer service is brilliant. These app developers work very hard and take pride in their creations. I gave this app 5 stars and it’s a great one to have in my arsenal as a professional photographer so that I can make a cool silhouette here and there for promotional material. Thank you, Kiarash. ### 5/5 — Amazing app for creating silhouettes *2020-05-02* It was so easy to create a nice silhouette using this app. All I needed to do was to follow the instructions in the user manual when taking the photo. Does not do what you would expect. ### 1/5 — Does NOT make actual silhouettes! *2020-07-27* This app only takes your photos and makes them look like silhouettes, it does not crop the photos into actual silhouettes. If you are wanting to use this for photo editing & making advertisements / upload photos without the big rectangle barrier around them to make flyers & such- this app is NOT for you. If you just want to take a photo of your face & make it solid black or white & nothing more, then this app is for you. **Developer response:** Hi Posmx, This is Kiarash (Kevin) the developer of the app. Thank you very much for your review. The crop functionality is given when the user is uploading the image to the app; it is similar to pinch zoom. The reason that I didn`t provide the crop functionality inside the app itself has been the fact that I wanted to avoid making the app look overwhelming for the majority of my users who want to create a traditional looking silhouette (similar to what is shown on the screenshots). Also, the built-in photo editor of iPhones provides basic functionalities such as Cropping. Hence, I didn`t want to repeat a functionality that is already available almost everywhere. Still if you think I should include the Crop Functionality or there are additional ways of improving the app, please feel free to email me so we can brainstorm. This app is like my baby and I want it to be perfect. I got my PhD in Electrical and Computer Engineering not long ago and would be more than happy to help you with achieving the results that you`d like. Glitchy, crashed constantly, wouldn’t undo actions, and didn’t come anywhere near creating a silhouette. I expect more from a free app, let alone one I have to pay for. **Developer response:** Thank you for bringing this to our attention. There was a big in the version released on May1st after seeing your feedback we immediately fixed the bug and released a new version today. I hope you see this reply and update your version. Extraordinary Customer Service!! *2022-07-02* I cannot believe how easy this app was to use! I’m doing a project for a client’s anniversary which includes a silhouette. I have emailed the company twice for assistance. First time for something I figured out and second time for something beyond the app. Immediate response both times. I found it easier if you use a black and white picture to start. I was sent a color pic of course, made it b/w then the app did the rest! I had no idea how create a silhouette the app works amazing the developer was able to communicate to me the importance of a good side view with lights and darks and I am so happy with what I was able to accomplish with this app and the help of the developer. The customer care and quick response to my request for help, I mean like seconds after I msged for help in creating a image the developer emailed right away. I needed this image for sign logo and it had to been blessing from God that the developer responded to my message and asked how can they assist. I want to publicly thank the developer for taking the time to look after your customers.
