### 4/5 — Great App

*2023-10-22*

It’s a great app. I would have given it 5***** but the one thing that lets it down is that the patterns are only accessible on the device it was purchased on. Would be nice to be able to access on multiple devices ie when travelling

### 4/5 — Sync issues

*2021-06-16, version 10.1*

Love using on the iPad but there is no sync between my iPad and iPhone. That deft needs to be fixed.

### 4/5 — With Some Tweaks, Can Be 5 Stars

*2021-01-08, version 2.0.16*

First off, let me say I didn’t expect to like this app but I do! I downloaded it to use for the free Shooting Stars pattern after struggling with the .jpg files they offered via their blog.

I don’t really care about tracking my stitches per day or hours stitched — if that’s your thing, this app calculates it for you. I do like how it’s easy to “highlight” what you’ve stitched (something I do on physical charts). I also like that there are fabric size calculations and estimates for amounts of floss needed based on fabric count but I wish it would calculate for 28 ct linen (currently stops at 32 ct).

There are a variety of charts available for purchase from a small selection of European designers. I’m undecided if I’ll make future purchases thru the app or order physical copies. There is a print option via the app if you feel the need to print a hard copy.

What keeps this from being a five-star app is the lack of syncing between devices. I have been using my iPad to work on a project but there are times I don’t want to schlepp it along with me. It’d be nice if I could open the app on my phone and have my progress synced. At this point, it’s not worth having the app on multiple devices.

### 3/5 — Silk app

*2020-11-26, version 2.0.11*

Nice app easy to use but it should let you add other patterns you already bought or have. This could be done even for small fee

### 1/5 — Free pattern charged $19.99?

*2026-03-06, version 11.1*

I went to look at and download the free Easter egg pattern. It gave the option to download it but no where did it say it was charging my account. Once I get it downloaded I get a notification from my account with a receipt for $19.99 from the app!!! How is this possible? I would have never have downloaded the app in general if I had known that a pattern marked as FREE would’ve cost $20. Now I’m out $20 that I didn’t even have in the first place.

### 1/5 — Sync between devices

*2025-02-26, version 11.1*

It doesn’t sync purchases

### 1/5 — Total disappointment

*2025-01-05, version 11.1*

All the patterns that I bought for the past couple of years were all gone. Some of them have progress already and they all disappeared and I can’t seem to recover them. I tried to contact them about my concerns but they didn’t respond. I’m just totally upset about the whole thing. I want some answers.

### 1/5 — Don’t waste your money

*2023-07-08, version 11.1*

There is no way to create your own pattern and no help is offered. The stuff they offer is expensive and old world. I actually want my money back. What a wast of time and money.

### 1/5 — VERY disappointed!

*2021-07-13, version 10.1*

This app has a nice idea behind it,but has many limitations!

If you like using a digital chart, it’s nice. Easy to mark off stitches, counts stitches, time, percentage of project complete, etc.

BUT, this app is only for apple products and will not work with android,pc, etc.
Yes you can print the charts, IF you have an airprinter. There’s no download option so it can be printed from a simple printer.
And if you are somewhere where you don’t have internet access, forget about stitching….the app will not even open without internet.
And don’t count on ‘all’of the designers to be helpful if you have any issues with their charts! I purchased from 2 different designers before realizing I can’t print the charts OR use the app without internet. I contacted both designers and explained the situation. One of them sent my purchases by email so I can print them. The other designer told me she only replaces charts purchased from her Etsy shop, and I have to deal with the app creator for any of her charts purchased through the silk app. So, I’m out the money I paid for her charts…although she got paid. I will NOT be purchasing from this designer ANYWHERE!
And this app is being deleted now!

### 1/5 — In theory it’s cool

*2020-10-01, version 1.5.14*

But in practice there’s barely any free patterns, not even basic ones, and all the designs are overpriced and grandma-y. Also could not find a place to make my own pattern layout, which they make it seem like it has.
Needs a lot of work, kicked it off my phone and I wouldn’t redownload unless there were a larger variety of simple free patterns.

### 1/5 — Short few project and pay few project

*2020-08-16*

No good 👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻

**Developer response:** Thank you for your review. We're sorry to hear that you don't like our app. Right now there are almost 100 different patterns in the app, and we are working every day to add more. I hope you understand that we can't give away all the patterns for free. The designers need to get paid and building an app takes a lot of time and effort.

### 2/5 — No search bar

*2024-01-21*

I’m looking for a specific chart, The Color Of Water but this app throws every cart at you with no way to search for it.

### 3/5 — Convenient

*2021-05-18, version 10.1*

Great to be able to take stitching with me. Wonderful designers. I would really love to see:
1. Be able to highlight where I am stitching to plan my path.
2. Ability to switch colors from the called for thread.

### 3/5 — Pdf

*2021-02-13, version 2.0.22*

This so far seems like a nice app with some nice patterns free and for sale at reasonable prices. I would like to have a way to put the pdfs we own into this app.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — No search bar

*2024-06-02, version 11.1*

It needs a dang search bar'!!!! It’s almost as good as pattern keeper, reasonably priced. I like the column and row minders that Pattern keeper doesn’t have. It lets you mark each stitch and the completed stitch shows the floss color like Pattern keeper. One big improvement would be to include a search bar when shopping. For example, I was looking for a specific chart, The Color Of Water but theres no way to search for it. I rewatched the YouTube video I saw it in and he mentioned the artists name. Found it. There are a plethora of beautiful designs. I love the ap.

### 5/5 — Excellent, hope more to come

*2021-06-20, version 10.1*

Excellent app. Hope more designers begin using this app to sell.
It’s definitely an app to keep around, checking to see if more has been added.
I’m encouraged that Modern folk embroidery has added some of his designs.
Easy to use. Love I can change the colors

### 5/5 — Yay My favorite designer is here!

*2021-04-08, version 6.0*

I’m a person that hates change. Modern Folk Embroidery has easily become my favorite designer but I was disappointed to find that Jacob didn’t have physical copies of his designs for sale on his website. I love this app because it’s so easy to use and now I can stitch designs from my favorite company. I will give you another star if you can get Benvenuti my most favorite chart from Modern Folk Embroidery. Thanks so much for making my favorite designs accessible.

### 5/5 — Silk Print

*2021-01-20, version 2.0.19*

I love the fact it can print but I use the computer for marking but sometimes I like to have the cover page in my bag. I use it a lot for comparing my to the original.
Keep up the awesome work.

### 5/5 — Great app, excellent customer service

*2020-11-09, version 2.0.8*

This is a great App for stitchers because it keeps count on the stitches that you have made and the time that you have put in. This App is for using the patterns that are available on their app some are free and of course some are don’t and thats the beauty of it, It has a lot to choose from and is very fair to pay for them especially when you can highlight your progress and keep count and a very realistic statistic on how long it will take to finish it if you keep your stitching going. Love that. And customer service is amazing I had to reach out because I made a big mistake and had to start all over and even do you can erase you highlighted stitches the clock countdown will keep the same and they added that feature in just a few days. There could be some improvement like been able to sync my progress on both my Ipad and Iphone without needing to put in my self and please make it available to other platform users not only iOS because this is a great app for stitching and everyone should have it.

### 5/5 — Easy to use

*2020-10-27, version 2.0.2*

I’m a new stitcher. I decided to join a stitch along. I love this app. I would use it on everything, if the charts were available.

### 5/5 — Lovely Patterns - Easy Access

*2020-10-17, version 1.5.15*

I nice mix of patterns and great to get them electronically and not wait for shipping. Not able to add your own content, it gives me easy access to a handful of Europe’s designers.

Great platform to access their work!

### 5/5 — Stitching with Silk

*2020-10-02*

This is an amazing programme with beautiful designs and a fantastic app to keep track of stitching progress.
