If you are a long term investor that does not change your position often I would say give it a try. Waiting for the points redemption ### 4/5 — Reward Points *2026-07-16* Overall a solid platform, my only gripe is it takes a while to execute trades and it doesn’t show history of trades. For me to find that I need to go into an entirely separate tab to see what my average trade amount was or how much I paid prior. That’s a great deal and well worth the subscription fee. I really like the way it rewards with points for investing and holding a portfolio. It had the potential to become the Bilt of stock investing. The platform is still in early stages and well evolving. Would like to see support options over time. ### 5/5 — Investing in Bonds Made Easy :) *2024-04-06* Silo is well optimised for the Tech Spoiled GenZ and Millennials compared to Options like Fidelity, Schwab or TD Ameritrade. when the gen-z kids like me & you grow up into our 30s, we will def prefer more conservative options like bonds, to save for marriage/kids edu/etc, and because they grow up pretty much spoiled in technology and use of apps, they would def benifit from something like silo. I Hope Silo continues to grow and become the Go To Bond Investing Platform ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Ridiculous turnaround time on customer support *2025-03-26* I recently tried emailing Silo a few times to sell positions that I had in my portfolio only for the app to bug out and give me an error message saying I couldn’t. I contacted their customer support team and created tickets only to hear nothing but silence from them for weeks. I’m only glad it’s not a significant amount of money to me. ### 1/5 — Issues *2024-03-31, version 6.0.1* ^^ ### 1/5 — Misleading data collection *2023-12-20, version 2.0* The app shows a signup experience and got my name and email without any indication that the signup will not work for any new user, but only for some chosen few on some waitlist. There is no mention of such a waitlist during signup, but only show to the user after collecting their personal information. ### 2/5 — A completely unserious app *2026-08-15* The app looks polished at first glance, but for a platform that is the custodian of my money, I find the overall experience surprisingly unserious. The UI is clean and visually appealing, but it lacks basic portfolio metrics that I would expect from a modern investing platform. There’s no clear daily gain/loss, no obvious total percentage return, and not enough information to easily understand how my portfolio is actually performing. I’ve also noticed inconsistencies with the market data presentation. The stock tickers appear to show the correct current prices, but the percentage gains/losses don’t always seem to correspond to those prices. The charts also don’t consistently appear to reflect what happened in the market during the day. These may sound like small details, but when you’re trusting a platform with your money, accurate and transparent performance information is fundamental. A nice-looking interface isn’t enough—I need to be able to quickly understand how my investments are performing and have confidence that the numbers and charts accurately represent the market. Silo has a good-looking foundation, but the portfolio analytics, transparency, and consistency of the displayed market data need significant improvement before I would consider the experience comparable to more established investment platforms. ### 3/5 — Good concept, app needs improvement *2026-07-17, version 2026.7.15* Giving points to investment in the account is a genius idea. There are still a few things I'd love to see improved. The real time quotes on my positions are not always up to date, and I'd really like to see real-time account activity instead of waiting for my monthly statement. I'm also excited to see what transfer partners they add because I think the points will become a lot more valuable than just cashing them out. Overall, I think they're building a really solid platform, and you can tell they're making improvements regularly. I'd also love to see them lean even more into Al to make investing simpler and smarter. Getting points (redeemable for cash back) on my investment balance is appealing. Silo puts your assets at Interactive Brokers, so I feel there’s a low risk to using this startup as my brokerage. Easy to use app. Doesn’t spam me with messages to try crypto or day trading etc. Seems fine for a buy and hold ETF mentality.
