## What is SILS?

Search the catalogue, place holds, and renew items from this fast, easy to use app on your mobile device.

Search the catalogue:
- Enter your search terms right from the home screen.  Don’t see what you’re looking for right away?  Use the filters to refine your search and get your hands on the item you want fast.
- View an item’s holdings to find out where you can pick up a copy.  
- Place a hold to have an item sent to your preferred library for pickup once it’s available.

Manage your account:
- Check to see if you have items ready for pickup, or overdue, and check your fines right on the home screen.
- Renew items out.
- View and manage your holds.
- View your reading history.
- View your fines details.

Access your library barcode:
- No need to panic if you’ve forgotten your library card; the app includes a barcode image you can use to borrow materials.

While the app is easy to use and has everything I need, it would be nice to see where I am in the queue for books I place on hold

Starting out nicely but missing some key features. One -  notifications that alert you when an item is due for return/overdue or when requested items have arrived. Two - an add to Apple Wallet for the liberty card. It’s silly to have to open the app just for the card when it could easily sit in the phone’s wallet.

The app is great for searching and putting holds on books.  The only thing missing is the ability to see how many people have a hold on the same book.  It would be great to see how many people are ahead of you.

SILS is a great app to manage my library account. though, i wish i could pay fees through the app instead of in person.

I love that I can have my library card on my phone, access the entire SILS catalog, request holds, see how much I owe, what items I have out, when they’re due, and renew loans (when permitted by loan type). 
What I wish the app allowed for is seeing linked accounts, so I could see the same information for my kids without needing to log out and log back in with their information.

Great way to keep track of my library items. I’d like to see multi-card support so I can easily track the items my kids have borrowed on their own cards without having to log out and log back in.

I’d also like to see push notifications, but since the system already sends out email notices that’s probably not a high priority item.

EDIT: my original review asked about viewing my reading list in app, but I just found it now, so I’ve updated my review to reflect that.

New search scanning feature.
A new scan button has been placed on search which allows you to scan library barcodes, other barcodes, and text using your camera.
Barcode scanning can be used to determine if an item is available in the library or to view details about an item.

New mobile self checkout feature.
The Barcode tab has been updated to Checkout.
There is a new "Start Self Checkout" button that will allow you to use your camera to scan library barcodes.
On a successful scan, the app will prompt to verify and confirm the item checkout.
This will allow you to check out items easily with your device on the go.

Fixed a bug with the "Ukrainian" language filter that caused it to not return search results.
Added a new "Read-along Book" format filter.
Removed format filter "Newspaper".
Updated Saskatoon Public Library's logo.
Adopted Apple's Home Scenes to better support iPads.
Fixed a few visual issues.

- Reset will now blank the search terms as well
- Search can now filter by Target Audience
- A search button as been added to the bottom for convenience
- The keyboard will now display 'search' instead of 'done'

- The 'done' button keyboard when adding/editing will now behave more intelligently

Fixes
- When the app is brought to the foreground, the data will now be refreshed
- Fees data was loading twice, this has been fixed
