I’ve spent 2 hours with this app on two separate occasions and it WILL NOT PAIR with my device. Worse than useless, ready to put it through a window. ### 1/5 — Does not work *2020-02-02, version 1.0.19(5)* It began the installation and then at the end it refused to connect to to the Wi-Fi network it had just created. I followed the instructions but could not get past where you enter the SilverCrest password. Kept going back to the beginning and the pop up never appeared. Taking it back for a refund. Con - it only works with one device. Meaning you can’t have the same doorbell on two devices. Can you create a way to choose the distance for detection please as we need to reduce ours? This would be good. We have this facility on a Lutec camera app, so it is possible. Update 31.7.19 Pleased to report there’s been an update. Seems to be working now on both iPhone and iPad using wifi. I’ll report back if I notice more problems. Well done Silvercrest, and thanks for acting swiftly. A quick sum up of everything I’ve written below: My app isn’t version 1.1 as mentioned in the App Store, it’s 1.0.13 for some weird reason. This app barely works with Wi-fi on my phone, but with 4G it works fine. My iPad only has Wi-fi and the app won’t work on there at all. **** Works fine on my husband’s Samsung phone, but the app takes a long time to load every time I open it on my iPhone - 30 seconds to a minute, which is of no use at all if I want to see who is at my door! In addition, I can’t get it to work on my iPad at all. I just get a repetitive message “Network Request Timeout - Reload” every time I reinstall the app. It just won’t go away. Update - My app is showing it’s on version 1.0.13, yet in the App Store it shows the latest version is 1.1 - don’t know why I haven’t the latest version which was created before I downloaded the app. There are no updates pending on my phone or in the App Store. Confused! Second update - I have just tethered my iPad to 4G and the app on my iPad worked! After this, I tried switching off Wi-fi on my iPhone too and the iPhone app worked quickly! It seems the iOS app doesn’t work properly with Wi-fi (or not at all in the case of my iPad) and that’s no good to me! Please can you sort this out or I will need to return the doorbell to the shop. ### 1/5 — Unable to register *2019-08-08, version 1.0.17(2)* Can’t even test the doorbell as the app doesn’t let me register. Emails received are blank and don’t get an activation code ### 1/5 — Pirate Wendy *2019-08-05, version 1.0.17(2)* Was really excited to have purchased this due to a number of parcels have been attempted to be delivered and gone missing but having set up device what a waste as no notifications sent to any device when activated. Not even fixed it up outside yet as there seems little point if it doesn’t function in the way indicated. Not happy. £80 is a lot of money for something that doesn’t do what it says on the tin. I have emailed 7 days and also Facebook messaged them too and heard nothing. I’ve got 1.0 - not 1.1 (which the App Store shows as being the latest) so where is it? The app won’t pick up the camera for 20 seconds to a minute when on WiFi. Seems to work better though with 4G. Please sort this out as I need to see who’s at my door through WiFi. Doorbell still works but that is it. Going to try on an old iPhone with an out-of-date iOS to see what happens. I have had mine now for nearly 2 years and have it installed on 3 iPhones. In the main it works fine. A bit heavy on battery use. Only problem that I have is in regard to the SD Card. It could be my fault and that I have installed a fake 32Gb card but when the recordings reach about 16Gb of storage the device reports that it is offline and tries to reconnect without success. The push notices work and live viewing still works, but no new recordings take place. Buy a more expensive brand as this is not fit for purpose don’t buy ### 1/5 — It’s worse loose connection after updating *2020-07-16, version 1.0.19(5)* As soon as app updated now only door bell ring comes on video always keep circle rounding up and up I left 1 hour when see again the new batteries (cell) all gone. Put new batteries again but no video or phone system work. Now as purchased from Lidle going to return that back. You need a Micro SD card to record stuff, which will be here from Amazon tomorrow. ### 5/5 — Working great *2020-02-12, version 1.0.19(5)* Had a problem setting up but with the help of my daughter it's working great with both my iPhone and iPad. After having a few week with the door bell, I am pleased with the results. for somewhat of a budget product/app the quality is good. The issue I am facing is that you receive no notification to your mobile device when the bell is rang. Looking online.
