I don’t know if this company went under real quietly, but the app just stopped working. It’s all a waste now. ### 1/5 — The app never send the mail confirmation *2022-11-03, version 1.3.6* I never get the mail confirmation to create my account on the app. I ask other person to try to crea one account on the app and they couldn’t do it because they didn’t receive the mail to confirm the account. As soon as you switch to a different app or turn off your phone screen, this app stops functioning outside of sending alerts. If you want to use this as a legit baby monitor, you have to sacrifice your phone and leave the app running in the foreground at all times. Maybe the company just made the improvements based off the complaints I’m not sure but the app works just as advertised. I’m currently utilizing the Picture in Picture feature which allows me to watch baby while using other apps. A sleep report has been generated. The app captures photos daily and makes a slideshow everyday of his activity. All the notification features work. I’d highly recommend this app it has done wonders for my postpartum anxiety and freed me up to move around the house a bit while baby is sleeping. I wish a feature to erase SD card from the app can be added when it gets full. ### 5/5 — SimCam Easy To Set Up & Works Well *2022-06-27, version 1.3.3* I’ve been using the SimCam together with the SimHome App and I am very pleased because it’s easy to set up, you can set a timer via the app so it films at certain times. Plus it can be set to record people walking past or pets or cars etc … Another brilliant thing with SimCam, is it can be used to look through a window day and night, most security cameras can’t do this but SimCam uses a different type of technology that enables this feature. Also, you don’t have to pay extra to retrieve footage from the cloud as SimCam automatically allows you to download footage from the SimHome app to your phone. Unfortunately, recently very important features disappeared from the app screen: temperature and humidity! Our babies are very sensitive to the temperature at night and it is important to see this information on the screen. I can assure you that all the settings are set up properly. Please fix the bug. ### 2/5 — Could Never get my phone to connect to the camera *2026-02-01, version 1.4.1* I tried everything trying to connect my phone to the cámara and nothing. I tried the Ellie app and this one as well and neither of them worked. Even after saying connection successful cámara doesn’t appear when I refresh the page. Really disappointed that this is happening. Being away from home and being able to still check on my baby it’s something really comforting for me.
