The first two times (once in Athens and one in Paris) it worked fine, not great but at least I could make calls and use google maps. However the tbird time using it again in Paris was simply catastrophic. I just got back home from trip trip and would like to let you know that using your service was a real nightmare it kept throwing me out of the data network neither voice nor google maps worked. I kept turning on and off the phone to be able to send a simple message. By the way also you customer care is amateurish. In short I don’t believe I would be using or recommending your service to any of my friends and contacts. Initially, it worked fine, but I only used it to watch YouTube for about 20 minutes, and the video quality was only 480p, not even HD. Shortly after that, the internet completely stopped working. When I finally found Wi-Fi and checked my account, I was shocked to see that Simly claimed I had already used the entire 20 GB package. This simply does not make sense. At 480p, 20 GB should last approximately 30–40 hours of streaming. Even if I had been streaming in Full HD, 20 GB would normally last around 6–7 hours. There is no reasonable explanation for 20 GB to be consumed in only 20 minutes of low-quality streaming. What made the experience even worse was the customer service. Once the data stopped working, I had no internet access to contact support, and when I finally managed to reach them using Wi-Fi, the assistance provided was not helpful or supportive. Based on my personal experience, I have serious concerns about the accuracy of the data usage reporting and the transparency of this service. This was my first time using Simly, and unfortunately it will also be my last. It has now been two weeks since that interaction, and despite repeated follow up inquiries, I have received no response.
