Easy to use, connects between my iOS devices easily. Had one minor glitch when one device updated and the other hadn’t, but it was a quick fix. It works well for use as we are unable, at present to get our hands on a professional monitoring simulator. Only one drawback is that when you simulate cardiac arrest there is no Alarm! Food for thought for the developers. Noises of the monitor add to the adrenaline! Excellent. ### 5/5 — Excellent for improving low/med fidelity sim training *2016-12-29, version 1.5.3* This is a great investment. I've used this several times with the Bluetooth link between phone and iPad, and it's easy to use and very believable. The options for the different parameters are great, especially having the traces accessible separately from the readings, allowing for an escalation in monitoring capacity. As a next upgrade, it would be lovely to have the option of accessing 12 lead ecg and X-rays through a corner of the screen, with a small database of classic emergency problems (pneumothorax, haemothorax, STEMI etc) ### 4/5 — Good value *2016-06-29, version 1.5.3* Easy to use and control via phone. I am an NRP instructor, and the students love having a simulation monitor experience- it makes the scenarios more realistic ### 5/5 — Great App! *2024-11-21, version 1.8.12* I’m a clinical educator and we use SimMon for all our insitu simulation, as well as at our sim center. It’s super easy to use and has a minimalistic interface which I love. Sliding your finger up or down on the vital sign to quickly change the rate/value is genius. A lot of the time we don’t have a sim tech to run a simulator, so using SimMon allows me to easily adjust vitals while still being able to watch the learners. I paid $1000 for another trainer program and I like this one better. We strap a large iPad onto the monitor. When the students connect the leads to our simulated patient, you can add the data using your iPhone as a remote control. As conditions deteriorate, just dial down the blood pressure or O2 sats using your phone. Makes a tremendous simulated drill and is easy to use.
