You can only start a new game even when you save the game. ### 2/5 — Great original game, poor app *2025-01-10* The original game is great as it always was. Ma non salva 🤦🏻‍♂️🤷🏻‍♂️ ### 3/5 — Game closing when trying to save *2024-06-03* Game was running fine was really enjoying it, but for some reason has started to close whenever I try to save or load looked everywhere online for a solution but can’t find anything, attempting to delete and reinstall game but all my save data has been lost because of deletion if this continues after reinstall I will be asking for my money back. ### 2/5 — Glitchy and unfinishable *2024-03-17* The game is a classic- well worth playing. There is no auto save feature and the game will crash without warning. You can’t save in some locations within the game. That is a nuisance early on, but generally with regular manual saves, you can cope. When you get to the Tower of Doom is where the game gets unplayable. It crashed every time I so much as opened the postcard or clicked on the options scroll in the corner. I cannot verify how long this lasted because it reached a point where I was just trying to see if I could finish the game without it crashing. There are some ostensibly cool things that have been done that don’t work out- the ‘high quality graphics’ give unreadable text because they work with the vectors at high resolution. Feels like an old DOS point-and-click. When I reopened the game, the save game was lost so I’ve lost all of my progress and have to start all over again. Not a great experience, in my opinion. ### 5/5 — Awesome Game!!! *2020-08-05* Simon the Sorcerer is one of the best point-and-click adventure games I’ve ever played (and I think I’ve played almost every one on the App Store at the time of this writing). A small portion of the voice acting is a little iffy (my only critique), but the rest is great, and I’m giving it 5 stars overall because it is simply a game done right from start to finish. If you’re a fan of the genre, I think you’ll really like it. I actually made maps with pen and paper while I played to help me figure things out, and it was a lot of fun! Das konnte man bis zu einem gewissen grad noch durch reisen über die Karte umgehen, aber beim Sumpling und am Baumstumpf mit den Holzwürmern geht es jetzt einfach nicht mehr weiter. Und laut den Bewertungen existiert dieses Problem schon länger. Das ist sehr schade und für den Preis von 7,99 Euro echt mies, da dass Spiel nach kurzer Spielzeit nun nicht mehr weiter läuft. Warum gibt es kein Update für diese bugs? Refund please! ### 1/5 — Ended in disaster *2020-11-20* Well after downloading and being surprised that it was just like the original with full talkie soundtrack (Chris Barrie) it would have have five stars BUT as I walked to face Sordid then saved the game it crashed. Not only did it not save but it deleted all my previous saves. Again would have been 5 stars but now just the 1 as it’s a massive bug in the system. Playing on iPad 11 pro so no storage issues. Was really getting into the game but the random crashes have rendered it unplayable. I contacted the developer but won’t hold my breath for a response. Just don’t buy it. ### 1/5 — Völlig Verbugt *2020-08-24* Ich liebe dieses Spiel. Habe mich sehr gefreut das es Simon nun auf dem Handy gibt. Ich hatte lange überlegt ob es mir die paar € Wert ist (grade bei den teilweise negativen Nachrichten). Leider bin auch ich Maßlos enttäuscht. Zum Anfang gab es Probleme das beim reden mit anderen Charakter, die Dialog scheinbar eingefroren sind (nach 2 Minuten warten, ging es dann plötzlich weiter). Als ich in den Einstellungen „nur sprach“ oder „nur Text“ ausgewählt hatte, war das Problem behoben. Leider stürzt das Spiel sehr häufig und ohne Vorzeichen ab. Habe also einfach häufiger gespeichert (grade beim Speichern kann es auch häufig abbrechen). Und nun der Supergau: das Spiel bricht ab sobald ich einen alten Spielstand laden möchte. Ich kann nur auf Fortsetzen klicken und hoffen dass das Spiel nicht abstürzt ( aber das tut es ). Es ist mir also aktuell nicht möglich, das Spiel zu Ende zu spielen. Ich hoffe es kommt nochmal ein Update. Aber für diese Umsetzung gibt es nur einen Stern. ### 1/5 — Läuft nicht stabil *2020-05-31* Nach ein paar Dialogen bleibt das Spiel hängen und man kann nichts mehr machen. Es fehlt oftmals der Pfeil zum überspringen der Dialoge, somit muss man immer wieder neu starten. However i have got to a certain point where it crashes every single time. I rebooted, resaved, reloaded and it still does it every time. Very frustrating as i cant progress. Beide Teile laufen ohne größere, beim 2 Teil gab es mal enen Absturtz bei dem Haus der Bären, aber nach einem neustart lief alles wider.
