I just don’t like how Simple Calendar needs your calendar app in order to function, then the events you add on Simple Calendar are shown to your family on the calendar app. I don’t see why it needs your calendar to work and why it transfers over events. **Developer response:** Thank you for your thoughtful feedback and for using the app. We are sorry for the confusion. This app is absolutely useless unless you’ve somehow managed to delete you standard calendar. My intent was to use this app for tracking fitness but instead I accidentally deleted every event on my standard calendar so now I will be on the phone with clients for the rest of the day. I felt very organized! I came back the next day and saw the app pushed all of my times forward an hour. I adjusted it, did my traveling (I’m a flight attendant) and saw afterwards that this time they all pushed back. It may be because of the different time zones I travel to, but either way I can’t use this app. ### 1/5 — EVERYTHING WIPED *2026-03-22* Loved this app used it daily but the other day it just wiped everything with no notification and no fix to get all my data back I’ve tried everything so it feels like I need to start all over! I wanted something quick and simple and this is not it. ### 1/5 — deleted my calendar twice *2026-02-22, version 5.7.3* i’m never using this app again. this is the second time my calendar has gotten deleted with no warning or notification. ### 4/5 — 機能追加の要望 *2026-02-21* かなりいいカレンダーアプリだと思います。 後一つだけ追加して欲しい機能として、予定を追加する際にデフォルトで終了日時をなしにできるとより使いやすくなるので検討お願いします。 追記。 返信頂いた「常に終日予定にする」機能は知ってる上での要望です。 細かい要望だとは思いますが、予定の開始時刻はわかるようにしたいけど終了時刻は基本私は使わないので表示されない方がいいですし、終了時刻を開始時刻に合わせて打ち込むのは面倒です。かといって開始予定でも終了予定でも何の予定もない時刻が終了予定時刻として画面に表示されてるのは目障りですし無駄に脳のリソースとられるし直観的ではないと感じます。 開始時刻はわかるようにしたいので、終日にして時刻をタイトルに打つとゆうことをしていましたがそれだとウィジェットにした際左に終日と表示される分、予定の内容が半分ぐらいしか表示されなくて直観的にわかりずらいのと、カレンダーを月表示した際にも時刻が半分以上埋めて内容の1.5文字ぐらいしか見えなかったり（例えば「11:00歯医者」って予定のタイトルをつけると月表示にした時、「11:00歯」）までしか見れないのでせっかく1画面で予定把握できるのにこれではわかりずらいと感じます。 かといって時間を後ろに打ち込むとウィジェットにした際時間は見えないですし、 時間をタイトルの最初に打ち込んでいれば時間通りに予定が並びかえられますが、時間を後ろにまわすと並びも時系列順には並びません。 色んなカレンダーアプリを試して自分の使いやすいものを探してこのアプリに辿り着きましたが、この一点以外は完璧だったためどうしてもこの一点が気になりました。 終了時刻の入力をデフォルトでなしにできる設定を用意して頂きたいです。 宜しくお願い致します。 **Developer response:** レビューありがとうございます。ご要望の件ですが、近い挙動として「常に終日予定にする」設定を用意しています。 アプリ内の設定画面の一番下にある「常に終日予定にする」をオンにしてお試しください。 よろしくお願いいたします。 ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Add events only NOT sync *2026-08-10* The ability to add events ONLY does NOT work. It’s adding days/week long “events” scams to my calendar and I can’t delete them they just come straight back. Please fix this so I can continue using the app. **Developer response:** We’re very sorry for the trouble. This may be caused by calendar spam affecting the calendar account you are using, rather than an event created by the app itself. If you use Google Calendar, please check the Google Calendar settings and turn off automatic event invitations. If you use iCloud or another calendar, please open one of the spam events, check the calendar name shown at the top, then go to the app’s calendar settings and delete or hide that calendar. If it still comes back, please also check the iPhone Settings app > Calendar > Accounts, and remove any suspicious account that may have been added. My life is currently filled with my kids sporting events. Between my two kids we have multiple events a day. I was struggling to keep track of all of them. I just want to be able to look at the entire month and see what I have going on each day. Well, This app allows me to do just that. It’s easy to add things and I get notifications the day before. Imports any and all calendars you already use (Google and Apple) into one interface. I got it for just the widget (on any page, and lockscreen, and choice of sizes). It is the best calendar app I’ve ever used, as it doesn’t actually replace my underlying “real” calendars. So my data is safe within the real calendars. SimpleCalendar is simply a really classy interface. And the app is itself *so simple.* Just like the name. But at the same time it gives you HUGE flexibility in formatting. On iPhone I can tell Siri to make an appt. She does that in my Apple calendar which then instantly is displayed in SimpleCalendar. The best part: FREE! (Remove ads for a one-time $8.99.
