## What is Simple Gym Tracker?

You want to get stronger. You don't want to learn an app.

Simple Gym Tracker logs a set in seconds. Open it, pick an exercise, type weight and reps, done. No account, no email address, no ten-minute setup before you can write down your first lift.

WHAT'S IN IT

• 260 exercises, each with step-by-step instructions, form tips and the mistakes people usually make
• Your previous sessions per exercise, so you always know what you have to beat
• A rest timer that keeps running on your lock screen and in the Dynamic Island
• Routines you build yourself and can share with a friend through a single link, no account needed on either end
• Move a planned workout to another day with a tap, no deleting and rebuilding it
• A calendar of everything you've trained, as far back as you've logged
• Personal records for weight, reps and time, tracked for you
• Cardio logged in minutes, not sets or seconds, and counted in your weekly and monthly totals
• Streaks and milestones, without notifications nagging you
• A home screen widget with your next workout

YOUR DATA STAYS YOURS

Everything lives on your iPhone and syncs through your own iCloud to your other Apple devices. It goes nowhere else. There is no analytics, advertising or attribution SDK in this app at all, so "no tracking" needs no footnote. It all works offline too.

Reminders exist if you want them. They are off by default.

FREE AND PREMIUM

Free gives you up to three routines and fourteen days of history. Premium unlocks unlimited routines, your full history, CSV export and custom categories.

The app is 4.9 MB. That's not a typo.

SUBSCRIPTION TERMS

Premium is an auto-renewing subscription: EUR 2.99 per month or EUR 29.99 per year. It renews automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Manage or cancel it in your Apple ID settings.

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 1.6 — 2026-09-08

Fixed: the Progress screen could accidentally be dragged sideways on an exercise with a long name, leaving a jumbled layout.

Personal records are clearer still: one clear headline number per record, lined up neatly above its label. The same cleanup now applies to the records list shown after finishing a workout, which still showed duplicate rows per exercise.

Sharing a record with a long exercise name sometimes produced a distorted image. That's fixed.

The text on a record ("12 reps @ 60 kg") is now plain language: "12 reps with 60 kg."

### 1.5 — 2026-09-07

Cardio finally makes sense. Running, cycling and rowing are entered in minutes instead of seconds, with a range up to three hours. It now counts toward your weekly and monthly totals, and you no longer have to dismiss three pointless sets first.

Moving a planned workout to another day no longer means deleting it and starting over. Tap the date and pick a new one.

Personal records are tidier: an exercise with both a weight and a rep record used to show its name and icon twice in a row, now it's one row per exercise. And an exercise you last did more than fourteen days ago now shows a clear explanation instead of "no data."

Home, Progress and the exercise library look bolder: bigger icons, a clearer weekly card, and gold badges for your achievements.

Also fixed: pausing a workout now actually pauses the timer on your lock screen, an unchecked set no longer counts as a record, and exercise instructions can be edited again, bold and italic included.

### 1.4 — 2026-08-08

Redesigned share cards. Your personal record and your monthly recap now look like something you'd actually post: the number is the hero and everything else steps back. The app name moved to the top, where Instagram's own bar no longer covers it.

Rename a routine and the name now changes on your calendar too. It used to keep the old one.

With the app in English, an exercise header read "72,5 kg" with a comma while the set rows underneath used a period. Those match now.

A shared routine arrives with a line of context, so whoever gets it can see what it is before opening. Share a record or your monthly recap and there's a tappable link along with it.

The app is called Simple Gym Tracker everywhere. The welcome screen and the Premium screen still said GymTracker.

### 1.3 — 2026-07-27

A shared routine no longer disappears if you tap the link while the welcome screens are still open. It now shows up as soon as you're through them, which is exactly what happens when a friend sends you a routine and you install the app for the first time.

### 1.2 — 2026-07-27
