It seems very simple to me. However, my pictures disappear once I leave the note, and that needs to be fixed. ### 3/5 — Enormous potential, however ..... *2019-08-13* I’m always on the lookout for a decent new note taking app. Initially on inspection this offering piqued my interest. However there are two concerns for me here ... 1. The swiping needed to perform everything is constant, annoying and on many occasions, ineffectual. ... 2. There is mention on the actual App Store product page that the app is ‘free for one month’. This eludes to the product being subscription based. This subscription based model of marketing is a Non- sustainable and aggressive marketing practice and hopefully it is banned from the App Store in the near future. Having said all that the product GUI is pretty, very pleasing and is a fresh new style of taking notes. If all the swiping was replaced by a more effective control method like the ‘tapping’ of an area which is a technique of which we are use to, and the subscription service or any mention of it were removed l would gladly pay 5 or 10 bucks as a ‘one off’ payment to use this visually gratifying and promising idea. 2 stars removed for the 2 concerns. ### 3/5 — Yepnoted *2019-06-27* The swipe operation ✅ 🥇 simply The Best Thing That Was Made In Deepfort 🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆 😍 The Layout ✅ 🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗🥰 ### 2/5 — image save issue *2019-06-20, version 2.2.3* i like the idea of thumbnails with the added pictures from your device.. but whenever i add a photo or screenshot from my camera roll it only shows in the note as a really long code like 764352_IMG_8DRUHFEUJ7_R78Gdykissyihcsti_Tiogfsgiyasgj you get the picture .. no pun intended ### 4/5 — Almost perfect *2019-03-28* Writing notes is meant to be quick n simple. This app does both. We now need a search feature. You cannot search at the moment **Developer response:** Thank you for your message. Have tried for several minutes to create a simple grocery list, to no avail. Keeps trying to create a new note. Since I want a note app which is easy to use, this is getting deleted... ### 4/5 — Great app for text notes, using camera crashes it *2016-10-04* Very nice notes organizing, multiple lists, move around notes, swipe to save or delete. All this works as long as you stick to text notes. Trying to use camera will crash the app - everytime! For those having problem deleting notes. Swipe note to left, then SLIDE To RIGHT when "are you sure" appears. App still has issues but works well for text notes. ### 2/5 — Needs work *2016-02-27* I'm giving it two stars because the app has potential. If the glitches remain, the app will just eat up memory because there is no way to delete a note. Supposedly, you slide the note to the left and a "are you sure you want to delete this note" appears on the screen. Tap until the cows come home but don't expect to get rid of the note. It could be a good app and I paid $1.99 even though it was listed as a free app. I've seen those before and it's a virtual edition of bait and switch. The app was not free and I would strongly recommend that you look at other note apps, many free that actually work. There is no way to contact the developer and their "support" is a website that has the same info available on the app. There are a plethora of note apps and a few that are very good. This, unfortunately is not one of the good apps. Until the delete function works, it's a useless app. **Developer response:** Hello, To validate the delete confirmation, you must swipe to the right, or swipe to the left to cancel. ### 2/5 — Good but needs update *2015-11-11, version 1.5* I really like this app, but since upgrading to OS 9, it crashes upon opening. Can't wait for an update...if it worked, I'd give 5 stars. ### 2/5 — Good App for iPhone *2015-08-22, version 1.5* Simple and intuitive for the iPhone, I can't sync any of the lists to the iWatch, though the app is there. Also it would be nice to reorder the lists. These 2 updates would make it a 5! ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Don’t know why my negative review keeps getting deleted.... *2021-04-07, version 2.2.9* This app no longer works as of 04/06/21. It stopped working quite a few months ago, but my reviews with full details keep getting removed. I am not going to keep giving full info. The app crashes...period. There is no access to any data previously stored. Horrible thing to do to people. No response from dev about the issue. iPhone 12 Pro Max, iPad Air 3, iPhone 8 Plus, and iPhone 6, all fully updated as far as each can be both in iOS and app version, all have same crashing experience. ### 1/5 — Hmmm. 😢 *2020-04-13* I also found this through AppAdvice, and have found many great apps through there. This I am not impressed with, however. This is a great idea, but the execution...I really thought it couldn’t be THAT bad after reading the reviews, but it appears to be so, at least on my newer iPad Pro... there appears to be no way to actually view a note enlarged, so that you can read its contents... it just remains a tiny square on your screen, displaying only a fraction of the words you wrote. When I swiped to get to the Settings and Help, there appears to be no way to get back out- I had to exit out of the app and close it out completely, and reopen it in order to get to my note screen. The screen shots show a way to change colors, and a way to add reminders. It also shows what appears to be a way to display recipes with checklists etc. This is not possible on my version of this app on my newer iPad. **Developer response:** Hello,  We are very sorry for the problems you are having with YepNoteS. YepNotes is based on the principle of sweep. For to go back to the list screen you must sweep the settings screen to the left. Sweep the list screen to the right for to go back on the settings screen. It solves the pro­blem. ### 1/5 — No pasting? *2019-08-13* Sorry, I was unable to paste, and could not edit a folder, other then that, it’s cute and has potential .... **Developer response:** Hi, thanks for your feedback. I’m sorry about the paste issue and folder editing problem. YepNotes has improved a lot since then, and I’m actively maintaining it to make the app smoother and easier to use. I really appreciate your kind words. ### 1/5 — CONFUSING *2019-08-12* Agree with others, this app is NOT user friendly. No problem creating or deleting, but NO return key to start new line in a note. Note on iPad is size of postage stamp. NO edit option appeared. NO instructions except the FIRST time I opened the app. Glad I didn’t pay for it. Got it through the Apps Advice app, typically the apps they have are useful, but I didn’t find this one helpful at all ... just frustrating! It asks me to confirm the deletion of a list but will not allow a response. My only recourse is to delete the app. DON'T BUY! Tried deleting and downloading again and it didnt work. Lost all my notes !!!! **Developer response:** I am really sorry for the problem you have encountered. You can currently update the application that improves stability. ### 1/5 — Don't Waste Your Time, It Doesn't Work *2016-01-19* I installed this app with high expectations, but I was soon let down. After adding a note I couldn't edit or change it or delete it. I thought I did something wrong so I added a second note - same thing. Now I have two notes that I can't edit or delete. Seems the only thing that works is the themes and Help menu. I'll be deleting this app as of now. I'll check back in a few weeks to see if it's been fixed. **Developer response:** I invite you to look at the help screen of the application that tells you how to delete or edit a list or a note. ### 1/5 — Simply HORRIBLE! *2016-01-17* Not user friendly!!! I'm not a fan of the swiping options anyways but this apps swiping options don't even work correctly as is!!!! Thanks for helping YepNotes improve! ### 5/5 — Lovely Little App *2020-04-20* I like this app. It has an interesting approach to note taking with the swipe left/right controls intuitive, quick and easy. It’s quite simple without a whole host of sophisticated features and it’s all the better for that. If you need to keep lists, reminders, etc. then this is a rather nice way to do it. Love it. ### 5/5 — Simple. Intuitive. *2014-11-27* Only one review so far? Well, here’s mine! I don’t use list makers but I somehow ended up with this on my phone and must say this is a well designed app that uses a grid system for main categories and another grid system for subcategories. You custom name them, too. All actions except for typing is done by swiping. Swipe extra far to the left and you can set a timer for your note or list. My only suggestion to improve this app is to make an iPad version, then have it sync to the cloud like iCloud, so items on both devices can sync. ### 5/5 — Ideal list of lists! *2014-08-10* I've had this app for a few weeks now and it's by far my favorite list app. It's modern and easy to use in the grocery store. All notes ### 4/5 — Works awesome no issues here! *2020-04-14* I really enjoy this app! I’m not sure what other reviewers are on about but I have zero issues with it. The first page of notes acts like a folder to put your notes in. You can create many lengthy notes and expand them, edit them, and share them with ease. All of the functions are gesture based. Swipe left or right to navigate from the settings and from window to window. Apparently other reviewers didn’t take time to learn how the app works before submitting negative reviews.
