The developer does a great job with this app and another favorite of mine, DRAFTS. A few things I love: The ability to email or message a scan to anyone, including myself automatically. I use the save to file feature the most. You can chose the location and have it as the default, then anytime you scan it will save it there. I save it to a desktop folder called “simple scan” this way I can retrieve anything I save there from ay device. This app is a must have for anyone who scans documents on a regular basis. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Horrible *2026-02-16, version 9.0* Every so often when scanning a document it glitches out horrible app. ### 1/5 — Big bug *2025-11-06, version 8.1* I love this app but it has a bug that makes it almost useless. When trying to save a scanned doc there is no way to name or rename it now before saving. It seems to have disappeared. Please fix!!! ### 1/5 — Doesn’t Work *2024-02-29* The app does absolutely nothing. I tap the scan button. Nothing. Tap settings. Nothing. I can change the file size. Whoo hoo! However, for the price it doesn’t seem to add much. The scanning engine seems to be the same as you get in notes. There’s no way to edit the scan or any improvement for taking the scan image. And there’s no way to tweak the image taken, just like in Notes (I’m not talking about “filters”). For the price they ought to be away to adjust and contrast. This is especially important things you want to save in black and white. The workflow options for what to do with your scan are an upgrade, but I expected more for the price. ### 4/5 — Top *2024-12-25* To be perfect, I'd have to add the ability to print directly and a French localization. ### 4/5 — Best quick and easy way to scan something in *2024-10-07, version 6.0* What’s great about this app is that you can set up custom workflows, so all you need to do is create a workflow including where you would like a scan outputting to, the naming format, etc., then you can click one button, quickly scan something in and have it go off to the right place with little effort! In addition to this, it supports control centre actions and Lock Screen widgets. Would definitely recommend! Would be five stars for me, other than the control actions having to be assigned to a workflow. I’d love to be able to scan and then decide where I want it to go, as I usually scan to Files but sometimes don’t want to do that. ## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated) ### 5/5 — Best Scanner App in the Whole Damn GAME *2026-07-01, version 9.0.2* If you're focused on saving time and being efficient and having your scans and work-anywhere lifestyle work quickly, then this is the app for you. It's just hands down always works, captures scans quickly and efficiently. I use this app probably 10,000 times a day, I feel like. It's incredible, and the developers need to be praised for thoughtful design and UI. Keep up the good work! Super stoked on this app! A must-have for anyone with a phone. Period.
