## What is Simple Video Teleprompter?

Simple Video Teleprompter does one thing properly: it puts your script on the screen, right next to the lens, so you can read it and record at the same time without looking away from the camera.

There is no paywall, no sign-up, no trial, and no watermark on your video. You open the app and everything works, including the features other teleprompter apps charge for.

WRITE OR PASTE YOUR SCRIPT
Type it, paste it, or edit it in the app. Save as many scripts as you like, at any length. There is no cap on the number of scripts, no character limit, and no recording time limit beyond the storage on your phone. Everything saves as you type, so there is no Save button to forget.

READ IT OVER THE LIVE CAMERA
Your script scrolls in an overlay on top of the camera preview, so your eyes stay on the lens. Scrolling and recording are completely separate: you can rehearse the scroll before you ever hit record, and you can start, pause, or scrub the script mid-take without touching the recording. If you need to stop reading for a second, tap. The recording keeps going.

SET YOUR OWN PACE
Speed is set as a reading pace in words per minute, not an abstract slider number, so it stays accurate when you change the text size. Adjust text size and line spacing to whatever is comfortable at your shooting distance.

MIRROR MODE, FREE
Flip the script horizontally for a beam splitter or a physical teleprompter rig. This is a paid feature in most competing apps. Here it is a toggle, and it stays free.

RECORD PROPERLY
1080p video, front or back camera, portrait or landscape. Orientation is locked the moment you hit record, so a take never comes out half sideways. A live audio meter sits next to the record button and moves when you talk, so you can confirm the mic is working before you commit to a long take, not after.

The script overlay is on your screen only. It is never burned into the video file.

MICROPHONE HANDLING THAT DOES NOT DEGRADE YOUR AUDIO
Wired and USB-C microphones route automatically at full quality, and if one is unplugged mid-recording the take continues on the built-in mic instead of dying. When AirPods or other Bluetooth headphones are connected, the app deliberately records from the better built-in or wired mic rather than dropping to compressed Bluetooth call quality, while playback still goes through your headphones.

HANDS-FREE START AND STOP
Start and stop recording with your phone's volume buttons, or with the button on a compatible external mic transmitter. You can also bind a double tap on the screen to restart the script, jump the scroll, or toggle play and pause.

KEEP IT OR SHOOT IT AGAIN
Every take goes to a review screen first. Watch it back, then Keep to save it to Photos or Retake to throw it away and go straight back to recording. Nothing is written to your photo library unless you say so.

YOUR SCRIPTS STAY ON YOUR PHONE
No account, no cloud, no sync. Scripts and recordings are stored on your device, which also means there is nothing to lose to a sync bug and nothing for us to collect. The privacy label on this listing says Data Not Collected because that is literally true.

WHAT YOU WILL NOT FIND IN THIS APP
No subscription. No in-app purchases. No ads. No account or email required. No watermark. No feature that is free today and locked behind a payment next year. No pop-ups asking you to rate the app over and over.

GOOD FOR
Creators recording talking-head videos, reels, and intros. Actors filming self-tapes. Teachers and trainers recording lessons. Founders and business owners recording updates and pitches. Anyone giving a speech, a toast, a sermon, or a presentation who would rather sound prepared than memorize the whole thing.

If you have ever recorded the same thirty seconds fifteen times because you kept losing your line, this is for you.
