This isn't random - it's based on cognitive science showing our brains can effectively prioritize maximum 5 items at once. When you can only choose 5 things, you automatically choose the RIGHT 5 things. When adding your tasks, you naturally consider the most important things you want to do. The app relies on that. Furthermore, you cannot delete your tasks once they have been written down. This is because it is not possible to "delete" something that has been written down with pen and paper. After signing in with your Microsoft account, tasks you create in Simple5 are automatically added to your Microsoft ToDo list. When you complete a task in either app, the change is reflected on both sides. The same goes for the daily reset — completed and cleared tasks are kept in sync so your lists stay consistent. CalDAV support Simple5 now supports CalDAV servers, including self-hosted solutions like Radicale. You can enter your server URL and credentials in Settings to get started. Tasks sync bi-directionally, following the same reliable pattern already established with Apple Reminders and Google Tasks. Google Tasks — improved reliability Several edge cases in the Google Tasks sync have been resolved. New Features: Apple Reminders Integration Your Simple5 tasks now sync bidirectionally with Apple Reminders. Create a task in Simple5, and it automatically appears in Reminders—complete it in either app, and the status updates everywhere. When you complete tasks in Simple5, they're instantly reflected in your Reminders app with timestamps. Deleted reminders are intelligently recreated to maintain your workflow. Google Tasks Synchronization Full bidirectional sync with Google Tasks is now available. Sign in with your Google account and watch your tasks automatically synchronize across both platforms. Completion status, timestamps, and deletions are seamlessly coordinated. Whether you're on your iPhone or accessing Google Tasks from any device, everything stays in perfect sync. Smart Cross-Service Sync When you mark a task complete in Google Tasks, Simple5 automatically updates and can trigger Apple Reminders completion too. Your daily ritual of focusing on 5 important tasks now integrates perfectly with your existing productivity tools. ### 1.4 — 2025-12-16 !! New feature drop! The app now supports reminder sync. You can activate or deactivate this feature through the settings menu. When you create new tasks that you want to finish for the day, the app also creates a reminder in your default reminder list so that you can see your tasks anywhere. When you change a reminder, Simple5 automatically deletes the original task and recreates it from its own database. Once you have finished one or more tasks, you can mark them as complete, and Simple5 will automatically sync these changes. It doesn't matter where you marked the reminder or task as complete. Sync will start as soon as you open Simple5. For more dedicated users: The app now allows you to create an event in your chosen calendar when you finish a task. These events won't be deleted after midnight.
