Total waste ### 2/5 — Not stable *2022-10-07, version 1.4.0* I have to keep reloading as the app disappears multiple times a day. Push notifications only seem to happen some of the time even when the app is still there. ### 2/5 — Hangs, drains battery, slow and unreliable over cellular network *2022-05-23, version 1.4.0* This app has potential but it is handcuffed by bugs. Alerts work fairly well, though sometimes they don’t come up in the app when you tap the banner when it pops up. After a day of use, the following morning the app screen is blank white, so I have to force quit and restart the the app. Worst of all, the app is a battery drainer, making up 70% of my phone’s battery usage during a given day, even when it is only in the background. When on a 5G network, I have had repeated errors with the alerts not loading. Even though the banner pops up, when I go to read the alert I get an error loading the alert screen saying to check the network. I hope the Simpler Trading team can fix these problems because the app could be so much more useful. ### 1/5 — App Simpler Trading *2021-04-05, version 1.3.0* Alerts worked for a few weeks and then were frozen. After a while, all I got was a blank screen. I deleted the App and tried to reload but that was unsuccessful. ### 1/5 — Disappointing *2020-01-09, version 1.3.0* Since I upgraded to iOS 13, app opens up to nothing but a white screen. Tried deleting and reinstalling with no luck. ### 2/5 — Needs Improvement *2019-03-20, version 1.2.5* This app locks up every time I use it on an iPad or iPhone. Alerts show up behind the streaming screen with no way to acknowledge the alert to cancel it. This locks the portion of the screen at the bottom where you can chose to go to the chat, screen, alerts or room files. You can’t even leave the room. Only fix at this point is to close the app but swiping and log back in. You can not mute the app with the volume buttons but only by going to the settings on the bottom (if that isn’t locked out) and turning audio off. Chat should be on same screen as the video, otherwise you keep switching back and forth. You can’t see the presenter screen when entering a chat. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Not customer friendly - Expensive *2026-03-03, version 3.6.17* I had taken a 1 month trial but it got renewed after 28 days. I requested the customer service to prorate the 2 days and cancel my subscription but they said that is not an option. For beginner traders they should provide these basic serviced like other subscription models. Similar to feedback provided by others they are expensive and not customer friendly. Take your business elsewhere. ### 1/5 — Terrible app *2026-02-12, version 3.6.17* Constantly have to login, doesn’t support mobile requirements effectively. Might get alerts, but only if it didn’t randomly log you out of your account. Kind of poor if you think about the subscription price. The traders are pretty good about posting RT alerts for real trades. So you have the app open and an alert comes in and and you want to read it. It does not load the most recent alert at the top of the list. You have to refresh the alert list. It clears the whole list and then spins and asks if you are connected to the internet. Then you may have to logout and log back in to try again. All this takes about 5 minutes! By that time the entry is usually gone because the room has loaded up on the trade. Basically ridiculous that they can’t do this better. ### 1/5 — Re-installed 4 times *2022-08-28, version 1.4.0* This app keeps freezing on a blank white page. Makes it very difficult to get the alerts let alone trade them. I canceled my subscription to the trading room I was part of mainly because of this app. If they are going to use the app as the only way to push alerts to subscribers they really should have an app that works. ### 1/5 — Services only useful at a computer *2022-02-04, version 1.4.0* The app fails multiple times per day and often doesn’t provide the notifications I have it set up to send me. Makes keeping in touch with paid services on the go nearly impossible, subscriptions in the thousands per year are only useful if you’re at the computer logged into the rooms a lot. App is useless. Also drains tons of battery life which is especially weird since it doesn’t manage to do anything, but over 10 days it eats up a higher % of my battery than the work app I have on screen using location services a few hours per day does. ### 1/5 — App doesn’t work *2022-01-30, version 1.4.0* Constantly goes to white screen and needs to be deleted and reloaded daily. I rely on the app for my real-time trading alerts as part of their paid membership program. I often miss time sensitive info bc of the app. Emailed Simpler Trading support and was basically told, “oh well”. Handy being able to keep up with traders and their alerts during the day. ### 5/5 — Stopped loading with IOS 14 *2020-10-04, version 1.3.0* Update: user error. Continued troubleshooting and app works as usual. Great for taking Simpler on the road... Upgraded my IOS to 14 today on my iPad and Simpler app stopped loading successfully. And hey, once you’re in, it works. ### 3/5 — Always a Notification *2024-06-12, version 3.6.1* This app ALWAYS shows that you have 1 notification. Apart from being extremely annoying, it defeats the whole purpose of having notifications. Reinstalling and updating do not solve the issue. Thanks ### 3/5 — Useful while on the move, needs upgrades badly. *2019-01-22, version 1.2.5* I’ve used it on my iPad quite a bit. Here are some observations. The audio is quite good for a mobile app. The video is also good even in spotty coverage areas. Sound quality is good, most features also works. It’s a little glitchy when trying to switch from video to comments. I wish there were two things that are important to me as an observer and someone who is trying to pay attention: The app needs a volume control. Either it’s on loud or it is off. No in between. The app also needs a zoom function. It’s impossible to see the very small fonts or indicators or charts on a mobile screen. Very frustrating to not have a zoom function. Constantly get kicked out of the Video on the phone. Have to log off and log back in. Don’t get the trade alerts most of the time even tho my setting say I should. No longer works on the iPad so have to login through the browser. Also the app does not support any classes you have bought so you have to login through the browser as well.
