Super simple and easy to use. Would love the “Reset” button to be “New Period” button, and next to that could be a button called “Previous Periods” listing past budgets so you could look back on how you did. Everyone uses “Envelopes” for different periods of time and then resets them to zero to start again. Simplicity is key and this app allows you to manage all your money and make basic adjustments. Wahoo! ### 4/5 — Simple! *2022-04-05, version 2.3* Took a tad bit of a learning curve, but the simplicity was exactly what I wanted. However, noticed that when I would add and Item to an Envelope, sometimes it would change Envelopes on me when I would click “Add Item” within the Rent Envelope. This happens with an Envelope named Rent and one Named ROTH. Rent item would switch to the ROTH Envelope. ### 4/5 — I Am Very Pleased *2022-01-29, version 2.1* I am very pleased with this app. It’s simplicity and ease of use makes tracking my spending effortless. A suggestion for an improvement would be for most recent transactions to be listed first instead of at the bottom. This makes for a lot of scrolling as you refer back to older transactions as they add up. I love this app because it’s so simple and effective! Just one thing *2021-08-04, version 1.9* This app is great, I prefer this app over all the many apps I’ve tried because it’s so simple to use and aesthetically pleasing to my eye. Just one thing, I wish that when you enter in a new item in the category, I wish it would show up at the top of the list instead at the very bottom. It’s kind of annoying to keep scrolling allllll the way to the bottom just to check my recent spendings. If this was to get fixed, I promise you this would be the most perfect app for keeping track of your money. My only issue is that I paid for the “ad-free” version subscription, yet every time I open the app, there are STILL ads showing up. HUH??? I have to manually go and restore my purchase every single time I open the app in order to get rid of the ads. Like why pay for something if the user experience is still going to be the same? It feels a bit fraudulent. I decided to cancel the subscription. I can’t support something like this. I’ve used it for over a year now and it’s reliable and straightforward. The only thing I would say is that when I switched to a newer phone the homepage is cropped weird and the text is cut off. One thing to improve is the reset button is right next to another one that is commonly used. I have deleted all my information in my envelopes because the reset button was inadvertently pressed, with no secondary warning. If this could be moved or have a secondary warning when it is pressed that would be an awesome improvement to the APP. ### 5/5 — Simple is good! *2023-12-29, version 3.2.1* Not so simple that it doesn't have a few key elements that I appreciate (like adding a memo to each transaction, or being able to edit an envelope without just fully deleting it, like other apps). Only been using it a few days, but so far I love it. I can make debits or credits to my envelopes without having to physically manage and carry cash. Perfect! The only thing I would change is shareability so my spouse could use it, too. I simply want to add my transactions & be done. The UI is crisp & clean which I love. I set my envelopes up in 5 minutes. It’s exactly what I was looking for & it’s free! This app is nearly perfectly; no subscription, no bank account connection, no frills. Very hands on, just like a real cash envelope. You can rename or delete individual envelopes. Edit transactions. Set up quick transactions though dollar amount is left blank. You can even move the envelopes around so they are in the order you prefer. It allows cents and negative balances. Since it doesn’t sync with anything, no need for internet connection.
