The connection is terrible, I’m on a Google mesh system. One bulb furthest way is consistently online, most which is very close to access point won’t connect. Maddening. ### 2/5 — iOS Haters *2021-07-31, version 3.28.5* I got smart plugs through my utility provider that only work with this app. They don’t work with HomeKit, the app doesn’t work with iOS Shortcuts app, IFTTT. I can’t even add a widget to my Home Screen. Obviously HomeKit would be best, but IFTTT or Shortcut support would be a decent workaround. Even a widget! So here I am, having to find and open the app just to turn off a lamp when everything else in my house works with Siri. Is that lazy? Yes. But I’m all in on iOS and Siri so this is a bummer. ### 2/5 — Not a well thought out app *2021-06-03* The app lets you select a time for the bulb to go on but there is not obvious way to tell it when to turn off. The only possible option I could find is TIME LEFT. What the heck does that mean. Why not just have a TIME OFF option??? It would be good to have a choice to turn it on and off randomly. All the old fashioned, but effective, timers have this option. Lastly there are ABSOLUTELY NO INSTRUCTIONS as to how to use the app. This is my first time setting it up so will see if it actually does what I programmed to do. ### 3/5 — Setup is a nightmare *2020-11-14, version 1.0.4* Definitely not “screw and play”. Not impressed. *2025-01-07, version 5.18.0* Trying to pair two bulbs in bedside lamps. They wont sync to the same color. Can’t connect to Alexa. Got these for free through my son’s school but I wouldn’t pay a dime unfortunately. No problems pairing the bulbs, but the only function that works is on and off from the app. May as well use the wall switch, it’s easier to access. Tried a few different scenarios for the program. None worked. Contacted support through the app. Never got a response. Directions for setting things up are non existent in the app as is support. I was always able to set a time for the light to turn on and a time for it to turn off. I moved and the option to set a time off is not there anymore. What happened and why? I know it was there. I bought 4 bulbs in hopes being able to regulate my lighting. The bulb would only connect if you are in the same room as the router (whole house router with extender in rest of house). If I moved the bulb out of the room of the router, it would lose its connection. I tried multi times and fail every single time. I not the most tech savvy senior. I do have the patience to apply trial and error methods. I haven’t found any way to connect to my Apple home kit app - - I haven’t found a way to set a different lighting scene in a program sequence. I can only set up a time sequence - the color and brightness are not available for adjusting. I now have a problem that I cannot resolve. I had been informed of a security breach and I was instructed to change my network name and passwords. Upon changing my network information I am unable to reconnect with the new network and the assigned identies and program to each bulb Smart feature is useless because I cannot reassign identity or reprogram the bulbs. Please review this information and provide a solution. ### 4/5 — Color scenarios *2020-07-27, version 1.0.3* I have five lightbulbs and my only problem with the app is that the scenarios and automation aren’t able to change the colors of the lights. I would like to set up all my lights to turn on so the gorgeous preset would play on them all at the same time.
