We built Simply Family Budget for our own family.

Spreadsheets were messy. Other apps were either too complex or focused too much on the past.

But our real question was simple:

“What can we actually afford?”

Version 1.11.1 makes everyday actions faster and more reliable:
• Refresh the Dashboard and Transactions faster with pull-to-refresh
• Improved voice entry on iOS and prevented recognized text from being duplicated
• More reliable Undo and quick-add actions when entering transactions rapidly
• More secure account deletion for users signed in with Apple or Google
• Long wallet names no longer overlap balances• Additional improvements to transaction forms, analytics, and overall stability

Adding transactions is now faster and easier:

• Improved voice capture with better pause handling, amount recognition, and clarification of uncertain details
• Add transactions using Siri, App Shortcuts, the Action Button, or widgets
• Undo a captured transaction for up to eight seconds—even when working offline
• Native iOS features and widgets are now available in English, French, and Russian
• Fixed wallet and category selection in transaction and recurrence forms
• Added optional anonymous analytics to help us improve the app

• The transaction list is easier to scan, with colour-coded month sections, date headers that stay visible, and smooth, flicker-free scrolling.
• You can now select multiple wallets and transaction types at once when filtering.
• If a voice-entered amount has more than one possible interpretation, the app now lets you choose the correct one.
• Transactions now load more reliably as you scroll, with additional stability improvements.

• Add transactions faster using voice or natural-language text, with smart recognition of amounts, wallets, categories, transfers, income, dates, and merchants.
• New Home Screen and Lock Screen widgets for quick voice entry.
• More control over quick-entry actions and buttons.
• Improved overall reliability and fixed several minor issues.

### 1.9.0 — 2026-07-30

Simply Family Budget now works better offline.
You can access your cached financial data, stay signed in, and add or manage transactions, wallets, and categories without an internet connection.
Any changes you make offline are saved securely and synchronized automatically when you’re back online.
This update also improves app stability, startup reliability, and overall performance.
