Have done multiple restore to no avail. Have notified the app people some weeks ago, no response. Very disappointing. ### 3/5 — Baby Knits mag *2021-05-23* Simply Knitting mag used to be excellent, with really useful free gifts, but last 6 issues have just been full of baby knits and far too many toys. The ladies garments are not suitable for over 60’s ladies it seems to me the mag is only for young Mothers and their babies. I don’t have andpy kids of any age, but every issue free gifts seems to be baby knits and stupid thick small bamboo needles. For above reasons I have cancelled my subscription. ### 1/5 — Download *2020-08-15* Bought Molly Makes Book and will not download keeps saying 0% then queueing but does nothing ### 2/5 — The magazine is awesome, the app...not so much *2019-12-13* I bought all the back issues over a week ago. So far I’ve managed to download three. Yes, three. In over a week. It sits there saying queued but doesn’t download. Really wish I hadn’t bothered and kept buying only the issues I wanted on my kindle app on my iPad. Quite a lot more expensive than the complete your collection option but least they actually download so I can use them. ### 1/5 — Download hell *2019-06-18* I get that a lot of images are involved. However, each issue now takes so many tries to download to my iPad for offline reading that I have started downloading copies from the public library, even though I have a subscription. ### 1/5 — Problems with the app *2018-11-13* Even though I purchased the archive ( and, it may only be purchased once) and continue a subscription, I am not able to access all the titles which I have purchased. I have previously contacted Simply Knitting about this issue and have yet to receive a response with a solution. Soooo. Please contact apps@immediate.co.uk and we'll get this resolved for you. ### 4/5 — Knitting *2018-11-04* I like this maginze a lot. ### 1/5 — The app *2018-10-06* I love the Simply Knitting magazine, (that deserves 5 stars in my opinion, but the app I have to give a 1) and have been buying them for about 5 years. I have a subscription but just decided to download the app. It makes it so much easier to buy back copies, but, I paid 5.99 to download an issue that I missed and it let me look through it once and now it just stays at 0%. It won’t open for me again. I even restarted my phone. I would really love to be able to read the issue I just spent money on, if someone would let me know how to fix it. Or if it’s a “bug” fix it. I would gladly give this app a 5 if this is fixed. **Developer response:** Hi 1473520, We are very sorry that you are having problems with the app. We have a major update planned for Nov 1 this year. It will essentially be a completely new app, eliminating many annoying little bugs including the 0% bug you are experiencing. In the meantime, you can get around this by archiving and re-downloading the affected issues. My other complaint is that I cannot unsubscribe. I’m guessing that will trigger a bill. My purchases have disappeared from the app or I have lost access to them. Restore purchases doesn’t work. Looking through reviews, I see I am not the only subscriber with these problems. Despite several emails to Immediate Media, I have been unable to resolve the problem. Not worth the frustration. ### 1/5 — Where are my issues? *2021-07-12* I’ve opened the app today and all of my issues have disappeared. I have a subscription and should have four issues I’ve already downloaded. I am unable to use the ‘restore purchases’ option because it just tells me that they are already restored. Can someone contact me to rectify this issue please? ### 1/5 — Right to privacy *2021-07-02* When you pay for something you do not expect the company to take what you paid for away from you and tell you that you need to create a password to get to what you had paid for. They think this is okay so that they can infringe on your right to privacy and sell it to others. Hope they lost a lot of subscribers,I know I discontinued mine ### 1/5 — Issues *2021-05-15* Since the latest update, all the back issues that came with my subscription want me to pay for them. I have tried to restore them, but have not been able to make it work. Even the issue I just received (in the US) shows that I need to pay for it to download. I entered my subscription number according to the directions, but to no avail. The app NEVER works. It always shuts down. I’ve never been able to download the issues. Will likely not subscribe again and will stick to buying the physical mag when possible. Updated to say that the app continues to make my $$ worthless - how can you steal money and not produce the product I paid for? The support emails go unanswered... even the App Support linked here in the App Store goes to a dead link. I have had to wait for days and often much longer before my digital copy arrives. I love the articles. I love the tips and lessons. I love the patterns. The platform however used to be lacking and was clunky to use. The new platform is the best I have seen in a virtual platform. Simply Knitting is one of my favorite magazines. It connects classic methods with modern designs. The patterns are easy to read. As a Canadian I do sometimes gets frustrated trying to acquire the yarns recommended at a reasonable price and, so far, have always found replacements from local sources. ### 5/5 — Best Ever *2018-06-21* Love getting my new magazine every month straight to my phone!
