I’d recommend downloading nfctools which is free. My wife talked me into buying this app in hopes that the Wifi joining option would work, as it didn’t within nfctools. My only reason and interest (in NFC tags) was to allow visitors to join my wifi without me having to get or remember the password. Both this app and nfctools work as expected for simple thinks like URLs, not for Wifi. When I write a tag with the WiFi options, the phone does nothing when tapping the tag, not even a notification. If you care about wifi option, good luck! I’d recommend the free option, you work too hard to spend unnecessary $. ### 4/5 — Works well *2025-02-17, version 2.1* I use NFC tags in my small brewery, I have tags on my kegs and barrels which I can scan to tell me what the keg/barrel contains. I have labels on but they are not always visible. This app is perfect for the job. The only issue I have is I write the tags to speak loudly when scanned. This works for a few scans then it stops, telling me I my device should not be on silence mode, it isn’t. I close the app and reopen it again and it works for a couple of scans then stops again. If this could be fixed this would make this app perfect ### 3/5 — Easy to use and decent design for a utility app *2021-05-09, version 2.07* Easy to use and decent design for a utility app. Had no issues reading and writing NFC tags. Wish you could preview what you can write with the Pro upgrade records. I had assumed that the URI Record would allow me to input custom URL schemes but you’re stuck with a set number of them. Purchased as they promised better wifi tag support, it has been almost a year without any updates to the app. I’ve used this to write several different tags on the latest iPhone XS, 11 Pro, and 12 Pro with iOS 13 and 14. ### 3/5 — Great app but annoying developer/s *2020-12-05, version 2.07* The app in itself is great and being able to either purchase the apps pro features for £2.99 is fair however to my pleasant surprise you can watch 14 ads and get the pro version for free. Unfortunately in an attempt to make people pay the fee you are limited to watching 2 ads a day. I have another app to write and read NFC but I needed one to erase; this one claimed to do that. Unfortunately it couldn’t even read my tags. ### 1/5 — Mifare ultralight not work *2020-03-17* Is it supported? ### 4/5 — A must have NFC app for iOS automation *2020-03-08, version 2.07* “Simply NFC” fills in the gaps that the current core NFC appears to lack for user features. I am able through this app to read and execute WiFi configs via NFC TAGS similar to the QR code approach. This is a big win for me since this type of automatic config appears to be not a native iOS user feature in iOS 13.3.1. The developer(s) integrated “Simply NFC” read/execute function with iOS shortcuts/Automator which is something I discovered highly useful when working with NCF tags. The widget and 3D touch integration is also great addition to the user experience. The only CON to this current version is the records writer. The Pro (purchased) feature interface is not as clean/polished compared to other NFC r/w apps in the store. The WiFi record writer is beta and lacks many important options that the other NFC apps currently include. I would like to see a long term tag save area that I can save, review, edit, and rewrite the actual tag data at a later date. The CONs mentioned above are something I hope the developer(s) look into at in future releases, but this does not take away from the core useable function of the app that makes it shine. The “Simply NFC” is a very good app and is needed for Apple IOT / Automation with IOS devices that support core NFC. I do not regret my purchase and highly recommend others to purchase or unlock through listening to adverts option in the setup menu. ### 4/5 — Colour issue *2020-01-23, version 2.06* NFC works well and comes up with contact but when you press create contact it doesn’t input the name data and also the cancel and add buttons are white buttons on white background so you can’t read them unless your phone is on dark mode ### 1/5 — Home kit scenes don't work *2020-01-10, version 2.06* I bought the pro version to support the developer, however I'm disappointed that triggering HomeKit scenes simply doesn't work. It appears to redirect to the developer's website with the scene name in the URL. I don't see any reason why this should need to go out on some random website just to trigger a scene. And even then, I just get an error 404 on the domain. ### 2/5 — Confused *2019-12-30, version 2.06* Purchased NFC tags and tried to write using this app. Each time I get an error that says there’s an error connecting, or there’s too much information. So, it seems like you can’t give this thing much information, which is really a waste of my time and energy. My iPhone 8 with this app reads more tag s and does more useful things with them than the Android phones I've tested. I really like the options provided when a NFC VCard is read.
