## What is Simply Planned?

Simply Planned takes the thing you have been putting off and turns it into a
plan you can actually follow.

Answer a few questions and you get a plan built around your answers, not a
generic checklist someone else wrote.

THE SCHOOL YEAR, IN ONE PLACE

Term time runs on a calendar, not a to-do list, so this part of the app opens
on one.

• A family calendar that opens on today. Week and month are a tap away.
• Every child gets a colour, so a day reads at a glance instead of by reading
  every name on it.
• Add something that clashes and it tells you before it is saved — including
when it falls during school hours, and when it is two children in two places
  at once.
• Paste a text or an email from a coach and it reads out the event — date,
time, place. It is read on your phone; nothing is sent anywhere.
• A card for each child: their photo, their school and its hours, their
doctors, their documents, who to call when the school cannot reach you, and
what they have cost so far.
• Documents belong to the child, not to each place that asks. Photograph an
immunization record once and every club that needs it gets that same file.
• Share a child's card and choose exactly what goes. Everything starts unticked
  except their name.

TASK LISTS WHEN YOU NEED ONE

A school year is not one run-up, it is a series of them. Pick the occasion —
back to school, a new season, exams, a break, the end of the year — and get a
short list for that, now. Old lists stay, with everything you ticked off.

WHAT IT ALL COSTS

• Photograph a receipt and the amount, the date and the shop fill themselves
in. It is read on your phone, not uploaded. Correct anything it misread.
• Where the money actually went, by child and by category.
• What the year should cost, built from what you have already entered.
• Export the lot to a spreadsheet.

EVERYTHING THEY ARE SIGNED UP FOR

Before and after care, sports, music and summer camps in one place. Contacts,
costs, seasons, coaches and the other team parents. Put a whole season of
sessions into your phone's calendar in one go.

ALSO FOR KIDS AND SCHOOL

• Back to school — a supply checklist by grade, from kindergarten to college.
• Activities, sports and camps — find what is near you and keep the dates.

EVERYTHING ELSE

Projects with a finish line, planned the same way: starting a business,
renovating, a deep clean or clear-out, a garage sale. A week-by-week timeline,
a shopping list, reminders, and local resources looked up for your area.

YOUR FAMILY'S DETAILS STAY ON YOUR PHONE

Nothing on a child's card is uploaded. Names, schools, doctors, photos,
receipts and documents are written to private storage on your device and never
reach us — we cannot read them, because we never hold them. When you send a
child's details to a coach or a school, it goes from your own mail app.

That is deliberate. This is children's school and medical paperwork, and we
would rather not be responsible for storing it.

HOW IT WORKS

• Quick List is free and needs no account.
• Full Plan is a one-time purchase that opens one complete plan.
• Premium is a subscription, monthly or yearly, for unlimited plans. The school
year is sold this way, with a free trial first.

Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the
period ends, and are managed in your Apple ID settings. You can delete your
account from inside the app at any time.

## Version history (last 4 releases)

### 1.0.4 — 2026-10-11

THE RECEIPT SCANNER AND "CHOOSE FROM CONTACTS" NOW WORK

Both were in the last release and neither one ran on iPhone — they were in
the app but never switched on. Fixed. Photograph a receipt and the amount,
the date and the shop fill themselves in. It's read on your phone; the photo
is not uploaded.

ROOMS & MATERIALS, FOR RENOVATIONS

Measure a room, say what it's getting — flooring, walls, fixtures, counters —
and the quantities work themselves out. Rough material costs let you compare
tile against vinyl before you commit, and each choice links to a how-to video.

The shopping list no longer guesses. It used to pick a flooring type for you;
now it lists what any renovation needs and leaves the choosing to you.

WHO'S DOING WHAT

On a plan with more than one person, assign a task and send it to them.

ALSO
• Payments and activity records can be edited after you save them.
• A task that says to contact someone now helps you find them, and keeps the
  place in Local Resources.
• Care, sports, music and camps stay on children's plans, where they belong.

### 1.0.3 — 2026-10-07

SCAN A RECEIPT

Photograph a receipt and the amount, the date and the shop fill themselves in.
Check them, correct anything it misread, and add it.

It is read on your phone. The photo is not uploaded, and no part of it is sent
to us or to anyone else.

ALSO IN THIS RELEASE
• Care, sports, music and camps are one place now, not four.
• Filling in a club or a sitter happens on its own screen instead of at the
  bottom of a long page.
• Track Expenses: put a payment in on one tab, see where the money went on the
other — by child and by category.
• Task lists when you need one. Pick the occasion — back to school, a new
season, exams, a break — and get a list for that, now. Old ones stay.
• Tell us the children and their school once and their cards are ready.
• School hours mean the calendar can warn you when an activity clashes.

FIXED
• The week view's arrows jumped a month instead of a week.
• A field marked optional appeared to be required.
• Spending showed no breakdown unless you had also priced a club.

### 1.0.2 — 2026-10-02

KIDS & SCHOOL, REBUILT

The app now opens on two choices: Kids & School, or everything else. And Kids &
School is three different jobs, so it's three different plans instead of one
pretending to be all of them.

THE SCHOOL YEAR
• A family calendar that opens on today, as a list. Week and month are a tap
away. Name it whatever you call it.
• Each child gets a colour, so a day reads at a glance instead of by reading
  every name on it.
• Adding something that clashes tells you before it's saved — including when
it's during school, and including when it's two children in two places.
• Paste a text or an email and it reads out the event. It's read on your phone;
  nothing is sent anywhere.
• A card for each child: their photo, school, doctors, documents, emergency
  contacts, and what they've cost.
• Documents belong to the child, not to each place that asks. Photograph an
immunisation record once; every club that needs it gets that same file.
• Share a card and choose what goes — everything starts unticked except their
  name.
• What it costs, per child, with receipts on payments and a spreadsheet export.

ACTIVITIES & CAMPS, AND BACK TO SCHOOL
Now what they should always have been: a straightforward checklist with the
local lookups, and a new Summer camps finder. No calendar you didn't ask for.

ALSO
• Free plans show the whole plan as a locked preview.
• An annual Premium option alongside monthly.
• Buy without an account, and delete your account from inside the app.

FIXED
• The screen could resize itself after being left open. Fixed.
• Tapping a field zoomed the page in on iPad and wouldn't zoom back.
• A crash when opening the app on iPad.
• Plans that could fail to generate.
• Two paths that could charge twice, and one that could leave a subscriber
  without Premium.
• Several links that led to pages that no longer existed.

Nothing on a child's card is uploaded. Photos and documents stay on your phone,
and when you send something it goes from your own mail app, not from us.
