Apparently, I still have the firmware version 3.0.5 Binary Version: 1.10.7 I don’t know if it’s already up to date ### 1/5 — They no longer care *2026-06-12, version 1.10.7* Went with Simpson and partners as they seemed like people who genuinely cared about the product - lol - how wrong I was. - Last app update 10 months ago - they took away the live power usage for “app upgrades”, the feature never came back. - my charger emits a high frequency buzz when charging the advice was “turn off circuit breaker and then start again” Bitterly disappointed with them. Suggest looking at other chargers ### 3/5 — Works ok *2026-04-10, version 1.10.7* I use it with an octopus plan. Octopus does all the scheduling to charge at night and that all works really solidly. The bit I would like isn’t used to show how much energy was being used and how much solar was being generated in the app but they took that out. Always good support if any problems though ### 1/5 — Unreliable, AVOID *2026-03-16, version 1.10.7* I chose as this can work over WiFi & looks. I also have experience of using Ohme at a different location. Buying was easy, getting the installation done was a challenge. Seems the installation via their partners is not correct.less than year since I am asked to book installer to correct this on my own at my own expense. Washes hands saying that Octopus is controlling the deice and loses wifi connection often. Despite being literally 10 foot away. Do not fall for pretty looks it’s a very unreliable charger ### 1/5 — Currently Non-Functional *2025-12-19, version 1.10.7* We’ve had issues with both the charger and the app since it was installed a little while ago, but as of yesterday the app stopped working altogether. Neither Scheduling nor Override are responsive which means we literally can’t charge the car at all. Deleting and reloading make no difference. Before that the app seemed basic and buggy but it’s obviously now worse than that and we have no option but to change to another charger. ### 2/5 — Buggy *2025-10-24, version 1.10.7* So despite the basic functionality working, the schedule section is buggy as hell. If you setup schedules they need to be in order and if not the system throws a serious wobbly. Despite logging the issue and providing screenshots, S&P are not really that bothered. If you try to delete schedules again the system goes up its own rear end. S&P need to thoroughly retest and fix this. This is a premium prices product with a poor system experience, so please fix it! ### 5/5 — Simple & Easy To Use *2025-09-26, version 1.10.7* The only way to use the app to its full capabilities is over WiFi. Would recommend a strong connection, I installed a cheap extender to my garage which has worked perfectly as connection to the main router was patchy at best. Since getting to grips with the app the only issues I have been due to my own creation. ### 4/5 — Nice Simple System *2025-08-14, version 1.10.7* Have been using this now for almost 18months without any real challenges. Granted the product is slow to catch up with the main energy suppliers when they introduce a tariff package, but the product is simple and straightforward. The support team are very reactive and helpful. After finding a bug in the system, the comms has been clear and helpful. The unit looks good, charges when planned, tracks my spend to help keep the energy company honest and the app is simple to use. Can’t really ask for much more. ### 1/5 — Terrible App *2025-08-10, version 1.10.7* Have the charger installed for a few years and I am facing now suddenly facing WiFi issues. Absolutely no issues on any other devices in the network but the S&P charger refuses to hold a connection. Support is slow to respond and of limited knowledge, just blaming my setup. The app is really poor and needs investment/focus, it’s difficult to update anything as it’s hit and miss and I also get random warning messages pop up that are totally irrelevant. I wish I went with another brand now as the issues haven’t just been around the software for me but they do seem to be the main cause of nearly every problem. More substance and less style is required, i just want the charger to work as intended! ### 1/5 — Lost remote control *2025-04-22, version 1.10.1* The app worked fine for nine months. I could access the charger over mobile data and from the WiFi network in the house. Since the last update the app says the charger is not connected. I can see that the charger is still connected to my garage access point (which is right next to the charger) and I ping the charger IP address over the network but the since the recent update I can no longer see the charger unless I walk down to the garage.
