I wish there was a way to skip all the questions that I don’t want to answer. What am I here for ? What am I looking for ? What I am doing ? Seriously too much intrusive ### 1/5 — Why is it paid? *2026-11-01, version 2.8.2* Saw the app, loved the concept, but I’m not sure. Why am I paying for it? ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਭਲੀ ਕਰੇ 🙏 ### 1/5 — Gurbani should never be paid only feature *2026-10-17, version 2.7.5* This is truly disheartening to see. We cant let Sikhis parchaar be hindered. There’s other ways to make money. The app screams Claude Vibe coded design and yet it has payment plans. Atleast unlock the core features and allow the sangat to pay for premium features like AI etc. but you seriously cant think about locking Nitnem behind pay walls. Wheres the sewa bhaavna devs? **Developer response:** We hear you, and this really matters to us 🙏 Our real goal is for Simran to be free for everyone one day, but we have to build it right first. Membership is what lets us pay the artists, creators, and developers behind Simran a fair, livable wage, without ever putting ads in the app or selling your spiritual data to third parties. There's a 7 day free trial, a full refund if it's not for you, and a cheaper plan too. Thank you for caring this much about Sikhi reaching everyone. Waheguru ji ka Khalsa 🙏 ### 1/5 — STOP CHARGING FOR THE APP *2026-10-13, version 2.7.5* Stop charging for an app that’s gurbani and sikhi related. Have an option to donate in the app instead so that the one’s who can pay or afford will do it no matter what. ### 1/5 — If you are truly helping the community $$$ shouldn’t be charged for membership *2026-10-12, version 2.7.5* Horrible Intentions ### 1/5 — They charge $10 a month for using this. Totally against our religion *2026-10-08, version 2.7.3* Surely you can find a way to maintain this app through volunteer work. Much like our gurdwaras have done for 800 years. Charging people to practice their faith is wrong. All of these practices are available free through livestreams on YouTube out of Amritsar or your local gurdwaras. ### 1/5 — Why pay wall and subscription trial upfront *2026-10-08, version 2.7.3* Cannot even use the app without subscribing ### 1/5 — Pay to connect with god *2026-09-27, version 2.5.2* Subscription based pay wall for gurbani. Straight downright behavior ## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated) ### 5/5 — 5Jab.ca *2026-11-03, version 2.8.3* 🙏🙏🙏 ### 5/5 — Great if new to Sikhi *2026-11-02, version 2.8.2* The apps got a nice feel to it, calming. The primary language options are great. The reminders are great and it’s an app I want to keep on the main screen rather than hidden away. ### 5/5 — 🙏🙏 *2026-11-02, version 2.8.2* It’s good ### 5/5 — Waheguru 🙏 *2026-10-30, version 2.8.1* Waheguru 🙏 ### 5/5 — Right app for the right purpose *2026-10-29, version 2.8.0* Thanks for bringing this app for people like me to read and understand the true meaning of every shabadh 🙏 **Developer response:** Thank you so much 🙏 this means a lot to our whole team. We built Simran so more people could connect with the true meaning behind every shabad, and hearing it's working for you makes all the work worth it. ### 5/5 — Very amazing app, very beautiful recitation of shavad and bani. Very useful and helpful. Waheguru ji *2026-10-29, version 2.8.0* Ka khalsa waheguru ji ki fateh ### 5/5 — Waheguru Ji *2026-10-28, version 2.8.0* Very easy to use keeps you connected ### 5/5 — Kaur *2026-10-27, version 2.8.0* Great app 🙇🏼‍♀️ **Developer response:** Thank you so much 🙏❤️ Your kind words mean the world to our whole team.
