This helps put life into perspective and really helps to realign with what is most important in life. When I look at my log and see that I haven’t spent time with my little boy in a few days or even a week, that is an uncomfortable amount of time and reminds me that this is what I should be doing. Same goes for regular tasks that should be done on a schedule but sometimes aren’t such as computer backups, scanning accumulated receipts into PDF and filing them away, going outside to simply take a walk, etc. This is better than a recurring task list because the task list can be pushed aside while SinceWhen simply silently tracks how long its been since the last time this happened. No judgement, no nag.
