### 5/5 — very promising musical app

*2026-10-19, version 0.12.1*

excited to see where they take it

### 5/5 — Amazing!

*2026-10-19*

This app is very cool. I like this, but it always puts you in the beginning, and you have to work your way up. Which is annoying in my opinion, but it’s a really good app, and I recommend if your new to any instrument it suggest!

### 5/5 — Really good

*2026-10-19*

Found this from their cool instagram page. Thought it was going to make me pay for everything but it surprisingly didn’t.

Has so many cool games and is already helping me with notes. This game is my happy place.

Will be getting the premium version soon.

### 5/5 — Very fun!

*2026-10-19*

I really like it! It’s super engaging, and there’s lots to do! And this isn’t even finished yet! Can’t wait to see how you’ll improve! 😁

### 5/5 — Amazing app!!

*2026-10-19*

Started learning to play the keyboard not too long ago and since then haven’t really learned how a single note sounds like, and this app is helping a ton! The lessons are simple and effective, and the games are super fun. Plus, the mascot is adorable. Just love everything about this app! ❤️

### 5/5 — Incredible

*2026-10-19*

As a musician of 8 years, this is a very fun, and also very helpful app. It delivers very accurate lessons and skills that can actually advance you on your musical journey. My favorite one is guessing which band member is out of tune, but all the games are incredible. This is more than 5 stars, and I absolutely recommend this to any aspiring or current musicians.

This is actually pretty good. i played and its well coded and neat.

### 5/5 — Amazing! We love Sine!

*2026-10-17*

I came from all the advertisements on TikTok, not knowing what to expect but I loved the mini videos. This game is amazing! I learned notes I probably should’ve learned years ago in five minutes, and I’ve never seen an app make it as easy as Sine does. The graphics and music are awesome and I hope this game goes far!! 🥳

### 5/5 — Great learning tool!

*2026-10-17*

I never learned how to play an instrument but I’ve always sung and this has helped me tremendously even on the first day of use

### 5/5 — Perfect

*2026-10-16*

The only ear training game I found that’s actually good and free🥹

### 5/5 — Creative and useful.

*2026-10-13*

one of the most seamless user experiences, the sine mascot makes learning feel so rewarding. i wish i had this earlier

### 5/5 — Great App

*2026-10-12*

This app is really helpful for non-perfect pitch people like me.

### 5/5 — amazing

*2026-10-11, version 0.8.1*

I’m a current high school violinist and French horn player but my ear sucks and I have to rely on a tuner a lot and never got the chance to develop a musical ear, the app is highly considerate with its free perks and it extremely useful, it’s only been 1 day and I already see improvement

### 5/5 — Sine is awesome!

*2026-10-09*

I’ve been using this app for about two days and it is very user friendly and super fun. The activities are engaging and I would highly recommended it to people who are trying to learn how to detect music notes. Overall Sine is a great app and is super underrated!

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 2/5 — Subscription slop

*2026-10-17*

Don’t get me wrong, this app is really good for practicing and learning new music concepts, but to do almost anything you need to pay a subscription, I get that they need to make money, but why do they need to restrict everything? Overall, the app has so much potential but the restrictions and subscription just ruin the experience for me.

### 3/5 — needs variety

*2026-10-21*

it's a great app for training your ear and i would definitely recommend it to any musician, as a guitarist and bassist of 2 years I can confidently say it has trained my ear and helped me differentiate the notes. it is my second day using this app, but it's pretty cool. only thing I would say is that it needs a variety. The games are really awesome, but I couldn't help but think, "is there more to this?" after a few of the lessons. I like learning style but overall, I think it needs more variety and should expand to just an overall theory learning app rather than just 'what the notes are and how to repeat them' I get that is an ear training app and it does perfectly that, but I definitely hope they take the suggestion and open up their curriculum because I have been unable to find an app with this learning style that I've committed with and I think a bunch of people could benefit this whether they're a singer guitarist, or bassist

**Developer response:** yup! we hear you. out app is still in early stages and we are working on music theory curriculum and even rhythm. excited to share these updates with y'all

### 4/5 — Grr

*2026-10-21*

I play viola and I can’t select it as my main instrument but everything else is fun so add viola as the main instrument

### 4/5 — Great but…

*2026-10-18*

Its a great app for what it does! The app does not ask you to pay for a subscription and does not have ads. Is great at helping you hear the different notes but it could have more variety. For example, all it does is teach you the different notes. It doesn’t have any other games. It could have more variety and more kinds of lessons. It should give more techniques on how to remember the notes. All it does is it tells you the notes and has you hear the note and guess what it is. The app should help you find ways to hear the notes without having to use a reference note and being able to learn the. For example make you think of a song or a note that you can remember it from so that it makes it so you can easily defer it

### 4/5 — Fantastic learning tool, although some critical features are paywalled

*2026-10-17*

Really the only feature that’s paywalled that I have a problem with is interval training, which is really important

**Developer response:** we will be opening up interval training and the rest of the music theory lessons in a near future update 🫶 keep posted!

### 5/5 — Great team for a great game

*2026-10-23*

As a big music geek with perfect pitch, this was a game I’ve always wanted to see, a fun way to better my ears, with cute characters that make me smile. For a game that had just recently released, gameplay and quality is simple, cute, and awesome. When my account received a progress wipe earlier today, I ended up being able to have my progress restored within a few hours with nothing but kindness and consideration all the way. Team listens to their community and their content is so fun!! Ethan and the team are absolutely amazing and sweet, and I appreciate you all and your game with all my heart.

### 5/5 — Amazing

*2026-10-22*

Im getting better at differing between notes

### 5/5 — GREATEST EAR TRAINER EVER

*2026-10-21*

guys… it’s so well-made in every aspect: the education, the format, the animations, the vibes… gosh it’s all just so good. AND ALL FOR FREE TOO? in all my time searching for something, all i can do is use websites because their apps always require MONEY.

you have limited plays for the games they include, and once depleted you have to wait a certain amount of time for it to refill - you’d have to pay for unlimited plays and for other games like stargazing. i see no issue in that; most of the games are free.

everyday i use this app i fear all these features will become costly - that’s how good it is. GET IT WHILE YOU STILL CAN ITS SO GOOD.

**Developer response:** we believe education to this degree should be free and accessible to everyone and if anything, we'll be adding more free plays and more free games (while scaling up the premium stuff). don't expect us to paywall existing content or drive up costs anytime soon :)

### 5/5 — Omg I love sine

*2026-10-21, version 0.14.0*

So I’ve just started using sine because I saw it’s YouTube short things for tuning. But other that that is a good app .

### 5/5 — Amazing app

*2026-10-21*

I love the cheaper price point, and its a simple app that makes it super accessible to learn especially for small amounts every day. The free version is absolutely still worth it, but I do love the flexibility the membership gives you. I think the different instruments are a great idea, and the only thing I would add is more chords and different types of intervals, but it’s a new app with a lot of room to grow so I’m sure it’ll come eventually :)
