### 3/5 — Tuning issues

*2021-02-15, version 3.8*

Your app is so awesome. I couldn’t have been more excited to discover it. I am a professional singer, but have always sung the lead harmony part. I have always been looking for ways to improve my harmonising skills. This felt like the answer.
I have told many people about it and want to continue to...
There is just one important issue which is fixable- and I HOPE you will take the time to fix it- then this will be the perfect app and I will send it around far and wide.

There are tuning issues with some of the singers. Can you have a producer go through every part and make sure every voice is tuned? The technology is there. You can have someone with a great ear auto tune every part. 🙏🏻
It will make all the difference to this being a huge success!

### 3/5 — Shows great promise, but needs more songs

*2020-04-26*

This app is exactly what I’ve been looking for but not yet at the scale it needs to be. Being able to hear each individual harmony and understand how it flows with the rest of the song is very important for vocalists and I’ve yet to find an app that comes anywhere close to this one in that field, but the small song library and outdated app design limit this considerably. With these couple of updates though I’m confident this could be the next big thing on the App Store

### 4/5 — Great Potential

*2018-10-05*

I am a drummer who sings harmony. For most of my amateur career, I have had to work out harmony parts by ear. Although this app is also by ear, each part having the ability to be isolated/blended as required is a huge help. I hope the developers continue to add new, more modern songs. So far, I am impressed with this app. There is precious little out there that addresses this subject. Keep up the good work.

### 2/5 — Not so great

*2018-08-30*

I just bought this, and the music is not my taste. Nice concept though.

**Developer response:** Hello--sorry you don't like the singers on the app. All of them are professional studio singers we hired to sing the parts. Streaming audio of several public domain songs on the app are on https://singharmonies.com/ so potential purchasers can get an idea of the singers we use.

### 4/5 — A winner

*2017-12-31*

I wish this was available twenty years ago!

I hope that there is a commitment to expand the library as there are Not enough songs- A comprehensive library would warrant a five star rating

I am not a singer but want to do something with family for a party. I have requested the temptations please do also if you like them

### 5/5 — Hooray, they added more songs

*2017-08-08*

They just added more songs, including my favorite Helplessly Hoping!

### 4/5 — Easy to use

*2017-07-24*

I am a professional musician (vocalist) and teach choirs within my work and this app is great for teaching harmonies and allows you to isolate different harmonies.
The down side is you just get 4 songs with the app and have to pay for each track after that. I was disappointed by this and also at the lack of choices.

### 4/5 — Nice idea

*2017-05-24, version 3.1*

Nice idea and is certainly helpful to hear the harmonies. Not nearly enough songs though. How nice it would be to have an app be able to break the harmony apart with most any song you listen to. Five starts when more songs are added.

### 5/5 — A Good App Keeps Getting Better

*2017-03-31*

I've had this app for several years and continue to use it, it's a great little app. Each update is better--used to be if someone called while I was using it the app shut down, now it keeps working. It says on their site that they are working up some new songs and I for one can't wait. Bring on more Eagles, guys.

### 4/5 — Great App, Great fun

*2017-03-24, version 3.1*

My girlfriend and I use it on car trips. It's great fun. Five stars when they get more songs, but plenty to get all the same.

### 3/5 — Good but needs more free songs

*2017-01-20*

A good idea and an easy to use interface. The only thing that lets it down is you only get 3 songs with the remainder available as additional inn-app purchases.

### 2/5 — No songs in song store

*2016-10-03, version 2.1*

Bought the app and more than happy to pay for songs but when you go to the song store there are no songs in it. So you're stuck with just the three that they give you to start with.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Failed Purchases

*2025-12-15*

I have purchased songs that do not appear in my library. Unable to connect with App creator. Apple will not assist.

### 1/5 — Not enough songs to purchase

*2021-01-17*

You need to purchase songs individually, but the problem is there are very few songs that can be purchased. Two thirds of the songs are public domain Christian songs/carols. This is not a viable app until the user can purchase more songs.

### 1/5 — Do not waste your money

*2019-07-03*

This app is for children. It has no features and no abilities to add your own songs. You force people to pay $3.00 and no chance to refund. Waste of money.

### 1/5 — Lackluster!!

*2019-05-08*

CORNY WEAK VOCAL UNPROFESSIONAL INTERPRETATIONS!!! Have heard better by pipped in elevator singing!! They should have TRULY HIRED AND PAID STREET CORNER A CAPELLA SINGERS TO MAKE THIS PROGRAM!!

### 1/5 — Small song selection

*2018-04-10*

This app works nice if this song you want to learn is in the small list that’s available. I thought I could actually use my own music library but that’s not the case.

**Developer response:** Hi There,
Sorry you were disappointed. We clearly state in the app details that the app comes with three songs and that dozens more are available via in-app purchase. There's no indication there that you can use the app on your own library: that would be a very complex and expensive app, if anyone could create that. If you would like a refund please contact us, there's an email link in the app.

### 1/5 — Not What I Thought

*2017-10-31*

They only give you 2 free songs to help you out. There’s not really any instruction on how to use the app, and any other song in the app is a dollar. This app is ridiculous. If you’re rich, sure use it but otherwise it’s a waste.

**Developer response:** Hello,

Sorry you were disappointed. The app comes loaded with three songs, not two, and the detail page for the app clearly states that it comes with three songs (with dozens more available via IAP). There is a "How to Use" window in the app: tap the menu and you'll see the link for that page. Also there is more information about using the app, tech support, and detailed song information at https://singharmonies.com/.

### 1/5 — Doesn't work on my 5s or Air 2

*2017-03-08, version 3.0*

It loads, but there is no sound.

### 1/5 — Harmonies

*2016-10-06, version 2.1*

Says you can listen to your own voice, but can't record it

### 1/5 — Waste of Money

*2016-05-27*

Agree with other reviews don't waste your money

### 1/5 — Not enough songs and they aren't free!

*2015-10-25, version 2.1*

They only give you 3 songs free and then there are only about 20 others to choose from that you pay $ .99 for each! Don't waste the money! Good concept but not enough content.

### 5/5 — GREAT FOR LEARNING HARMONIES!!!

*2025-06-22*

I love this APP and I hope it stays around awhile. I know that the author of the app advised that they will no longer be updating with. Ew songs BUT there is enough already there to really learn. I love how you can pick parts and silence or bring down other parts - it's a great app!!!!

### 5/5 — Wonderful

*2025-04-15*

Best thing since sliced bread. If you never got the chance to join a school/church choir and learn to harmonize, this is your saving grace!

### 5/5 — Good Learning Tool

*2024-04-09*

This app works well to learn harmonizing if you want to learn by listening.

No, it was not clear to me that you need to buy songs individually if you want more than the 3 free songs. However, there about about 45 different songs, and the app seems well made in my opinion.
You can not load your own songs, although I don’t know how, why, or what would make you think you could after using the app. It seems like the creators recorded each individual part of each song, and made an app to cleanly and easily separate the different parts. Perhaps you could email them and request a song, but this is not an AI generated “do-it-yourself” kind of app. This app is a well curated teaching tool.

If you have wanted to learn harmonizing for a while like me, I’d say this is a good start and worth the money.

### 5/5 — Love this app

*2022-07-15*

This app has helped me learn to harmonize. The selection of songs available to purchase is varied, ranging from pop to carols. The app is easy to use, simply press on the singer icon to hear or silence different vocal parts, it is visual and intuitive. I consider $1.39 per song to get 4 vocal parts and background music track great value! What’s up with these cheapos who won’t pay for someone’s hard work? Great app! Good work!

### 5/5 — Great app! Just what I needed

*2020-11-26*

I’m a guitarist, and really want to work on my harmony vocals. I looked around A LOT, trying to find good ways to practice on my own, because I need to build my chops before I’ll feel comfortable singing with the others in my band. With this app, I’m able to isolate the tenor vocalist, practice his line and then take him out to sing along with group. Often I just keep the alto and sing with her, because that most closely mimics the harmonies I want to do in my band. I’ve been using this about a month, and it’s already improving my ear and voice. Definitely this is the best method that I’ve found for practicing harmony singing on my own. I wish the app had more stars — it looks as though negative reviewers were complaining about the song selection and the quality of singers, which is insane. The singers are very good pros. All you really need from them is to sing in tune, and they do that plus much more. I have listened to the tenor and alto parts on Country Roads, Call Me Maybe and Helplessly Hoping over and over. They’re great. As for the song selection — that’s also bonkers. Most of these are not songs I would sing in my band. Country Roads is a bit corny for my taste, but so what? It’s a stone-cold classic, and I’m learning a ton by singing along with it in my car. The other tunes are a selection of Beatles, Eagles, Paul Simon, CSN, plus gospel songs, folk songs like “Wimoweh” and Christmas carols. It’s hard to argue with the quality of that selection! One tune that I downloaded because I really need to work on it is “Happy Birthday,” because that comes up ALL THE TIME on gigs, and I really can’t sing it very well. My bandmates actually sing it great, but I always fiddle with my guitar tuner during that one. Now, thanks to this app, I can learn a part to add to the mix. GREAT STUFF!!! OK, now, I hope that the developers are reading this, because I do have some requests: 1) A loop function! 2) A way to turn down the band, but not turn them all the way off, just like with the vocalists. 3) New songs. Here’s my wish list — “All I Have to Do Is Dream” and other Everly Brothers. “Nowhere Man.” “Royals.” “Closer to Fine.” “Sweet Dreams” “Java Jive” ... THANKS for the great work!

### 5/5 — Amazing; hope they keep adding songs

*2020-10-24*

This app does one thing *really well*. It gives you four-part harmony with light instrumental backup of a small repertoire of songs. You just tap on each of the singers to reduce or eliminate the volume of their track. Very intuitive.

As someone who *can* sing harmony but struggles to hold my part, this is an amazing app. I start by turning off all the other parts and just learn mine. Then I turn on the lead at lower volume while keeping my part at full. Eventually I get to all the other parts at full volume with my part turned off. I’ve wanted something like this for years; it’s amazing to finally find it.

The singers are all terrific and sing without too much embellishment. If you like country/folk style harmonies, I think you will like the recordings. It also has somewhat more creative harmony parts than I would work out for myself.

Three songs for free, then you pay a dollar for each additional. Well worth it. I hope they keep adding to the repertoire.

### 5/5 — Satisfied the app

*2020-04-21*

Nice practice for me to against other vocal parts, which I struggle with.

### 5/5 — Brilliant

*2019-01-27, version 3.2*

I can’t always get my head around harmonies - they are magic that other people do... at least until now. I love the way I can isolate the individual parts and learn them off. I can see that I will soon be more confident at making my own arrangements after this.

### 5/5 — Great Teaching Tool

*2018-03-12*

I use this wonderful app to learn harmony parts to teach my class. I cannot read music so this is super helpful, and easy to use. Nice selection of kid friendly songs. So grateful this exists!

### 5/5 — Excellent app for learning to sing harmonies.

*2017-10-08*

This app has helped me tremendously,
and I've only owned it for a few days. I have tried a lot of singing apps out there, but this one is by far the best for learning how to sing harmonies. Can't wait to try out the other songs. $1 per song is a bargain when you consider that they had to record each track. The only recommendation I would make is to perhaps offer a discount if you buy multiple songs - eg. $1 per song, or $15 for 10 songs, or something like that. Anyway, great app, 5 stars. Cheers!
