For a long time it had two screens for each song, first one to adjust the settings and start it playing, and the second showing the song as it appears in the hymnal. But recently the controls were moved to a pop-up screen, much more elegant. For the longest time I was wishing it would automatically cycle through the songs my church is going to sing, and lo and behold, they’ve added such functionality. It’s not fully working yet - I play one song from the middle of the sequence and when it’s done, the screen switches to the next song and starts playing that, while simultaneously repeating the first song. This bug have something to do with the fact that my church has three headers - Psalm of the Month, This Week, and Last week. While playing the Psalm of the Month, it just repeated that one over and over, and the presence of a one-song list might have affected the playing of the other lists. ### 3/5 — Great idea, so so execution *2026-02-20* This app is a fantastic idea but incredible glitchy especially with the Jan 2026 update (plays the wrong song; freezes,etc) ### 1/5 — Too many questions! *2025-11-13* Don’t know how well it works, as I can’t get to the functional part of the app without answering a bunch of irrelevant questions. At one point the app freaked and wouldn’t accept an answer. Unloaded it in record time. ### 5/5 — What a resource! *2025-11-08* My church has recently embraced Reformed Theology, and, as a result, has switched to a more Reformed doctrine of worship. To that end, we are learning to sing Psalms. I’ve been leading the charge as far as teaching Psalms goes, and had resigned myself to the idea that until we found a piano player, we wouldn’t really be able to learn parts. Then I found this app. This changes everything! Fantastic resource! ### 2/5 — Stuck on loading screen, will update when fixed. *2025-06-17* Great app except it stopped working. Reinstalled, rebooted, network is fine. Just stuck on loading screen. Unfortunate. This was the app we used to learn hymns. ### 2/5 — Frustrating *2025-06-17* Struggling to continue paying for this. The vocals are horrible, the music is tinny, and in many of the hymns, there is only the soprano part - no other parts. this app has a long, long, long way to go. Looking forward to it eventually. I love supporting Christian companies financially, but I would be far more inclined towards a one time payment if it was reasonably priced. ### 5/5 — You haven’t seen anything yet. *2025-01-14* This app is phenomenal and it is still in its infancy. Since its debut in 2023, this hymn practice app has gone from really good to out of this world. Much more is on the way. For men who have agonized over that out of range melody line, this app will help you learn the tenor or bass part. If your church doesn’t use and promote SingYourPart you need to ask your music director (worship leader) what’s wrong with him. You may need to look for another church that does. Seriously, this app works for your church, for your music leader, and turns your congregation into a part-singing choir. You can get rid of the paid choir. ### 1/5 — Paid app now requiring further subscriptions? *2024-11-06* I paid for this app a couple of years ago and consider myself an early adopter. I haven’t logged in for a few months and when I did, Ai discovered I could no longer access hymns and songs without yet another annual subscription. I don’t mind paying and supporting Christian resources, but this feels very underhanded. I’ve paid once, and without any advance warning and notice, the whole commercial model changed and users are now required to pay more money? ### 5/5 — Was great, what happened? Could I help? *2024-08-31* Several years ago my church started recommending this then-free app. Then we stepped up and subscribed. But now… “I have a personal subscription, but it won’t let me in on the basis that I don’t have a household subscription.” This looks like a terrible bug. I may be able to help, having written software for high stakes projects involving waves and processing large amounts of data in minimal time with average computers.
