App muito funcional, valeu a pena

### 4/5 — More scales please!

*2020-06-27*

This is an excellent app. Really handy and easy to use. It would be great to have more scales, such as the chromatic scale, some modal patterns, and more mixed interval and jazz patterns, plus the option to program your own scales. Really great concept, and great help in the studio.

### 4/5 — An appropriately titled app

*2020-04-20*

This is a great app. Simple & stable to use. It doesn’t require the net to work, a blessing for those of us that live rurally! It’s not littered with constant ads and it’s free. Reluctant to ask for more as it’s such a great deal but more scales would be nice (not essential) or the facility to input your own patterns or scales would be a bonus. However, I have nothing but praise for the developers & coders you unseen hero’s & sheros! Thank you...

### 4/5 — More scales!

*2020-01-11*

A great, simple app, easy to use! It would have 5 stars if there were more scales such as Dorian, Ionian, Diminished, Mixolydian and bebop scales for jazz singers! Either that or having an option to add your own scales. Would also be great to customise how high you want to go because some exercises are better in a narrower range. Please add those things... I’ve been looking and can’t find an app like that anywhere.

### 5/5 — perhaps in a Pro version?

*2019-10-12*

The extra features I might like but are not in this version don’t stop me from giving it five stars. This version is easy to use and has enough variety to keep me exercising every morning. However, I agree with other reviewers that a loop function would be great and so too would the ability to select a custom range or two or three ranges together; perhaps in a Pro version?

### 5/5 — Better Than I Expected!!

*2019-10-02*

Such a quick easy way to practice and warm up with a variety of scales and ranges. A keeper for me definitely.

### 3/5 — Helpful but needs improvement

*2018-09-25*

Really wish you could listen to this with the phone closed or using a different app. Right now the phone has to stay open. Also can’t control from Apple Watch.

### 5/5 — Excelente

*2018-09-19, version 2.0*

Muy buena app, 100% recomendable! Nada más tendría la sugerencia de agregar la función de poder retroceder la escala desde cualquier nota para poder tener un mejor control y no forzar la voz, pero de verdad es muy buena aplicación y vale la pena la inversión

### 4/5 — Wonderful App!

*2018-08-14*

I Friggin love this app but the complaints I’ve heard so far through the other reviews and people who’ve done the warm ups with me have complained of the ranges of some of the Voice Types being Too Low/High
It seems to me that this App is Geared towards Classical Singers because it seems to be focuses on Securing the High range of every voice Type but anyways. But if this is the intention I think...

BASS: I think this is great but I know some basses who can muster An A4, maybe not sustain and be able to sing up there a lot but I’m sure they could hit the note
BARITONE: Perfect!
TENOR: Perfect!
ALTO/CONTRALTO: Too Low AND too high. I don’t know very many Classical Contralto/Alto who find it easy to go below E3 or above A5. Just sayin’, That’s the one I’d complain about the most from the app.
MEZZO-SOPRANO: I think it’s too High. maybe stopping it at C6 would be more appropriate than High Eb
SOPRANO: Too Low And Slightly Too High.
I feel like G3 is pretty Low for a Soprano. Hell, at lowest I’d say A3 for a soprano but for the sake of this App. I’d start it at Middle C and stop it at about F6

Possible changes could be to Add 2 Voice types.
BASSO-PROFUNDO: C2-F4
And
SOPRANINO: E4-A6

For the super low male and Super High Soprano.

Or another thing could be Keeping all of the scales but allowing a custom range Set in addition to the preset ranges just in case you don’t fall neatly into those categories.

And maybe you could set it as low as C2 and as high as A6 to cover all basis.

Again, I love the app!!
Thanks for creating such a wonderful thing!

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Waste of money

*2017-09-06, version 2.0*

Waste of money. Not what I thought it would be. No vocal examples. Scale doesn't reverse. Very manual.

### 1/5 — Refund?

*2016-03-16, version 2.0*

I did not mean to download it is there any way i could Get my money back?

### 1/5 — Feel as if I wasted my money

*2013-04-12, version 1.4*

I purchased this for my students and is very limited an kind of boring

### 2/5 — Stopped working?

*2026-03-16, version 2.0*

This app is good, but has stopped working. It now crashes whenever it opens. And the website for app support doesn’t load.

### 2/5 — Only a few scales

*2020-12-23*

I was very excited to start practicing with this app but I was a bit disappointed when I realised how limited it is. I’d love to have more scales. It’s a great concept but it’ll be great if you could actually do more advance stuff, whereas now it seems like it’s only for early beginners. Please, keep adding more!

### 2/5 — Can’t use app in the background while on other apps

*2019-04-20, version 2.0*

Wish I could use it while reading the news or scrolling Instagram

### 2/5 — Very blah!

*2015-07-01*

Sorry I purchased this app. You can't even build a playlist for warm ups. Very bad when you're driving cause you always have to look at the phone to chose your next warm up! This is a VERY basic app. I would go with something else. I would, if I could get a refund for this crap!

### 3/5 — Great for on the go warm-ups when you don’t have a piano

*2025-05-22*

You can only go up the scale. I wish you could go down the scale. I also wish I could start the scale on any note. So when I reach my highest point and want to do it again, I have to start over on my low register at the same note every time. Other than that, it is nice to have in the car for warm-ups.

### 3/5 — Ok :/

*2020-03-29, version 2.0*

I think it could definitely use new features, but overall it’s a great app.

### 3/5 — Very Good...just not Great...(yet?)...

*2018-12-20*

Very easy and intuitive to use.

The pre-set range of notes, based on traditional voice classifications, is fairly accurate and helpful.

The varying scale patterns offered is good, but could be better (see below).

Would love to see the addition of the following options:

- Descending arpeggiated scales in addition to the 1-3-5-8 pattern, ie an 8-5-3-1 pattern (for example), with variations on that.

- A button that allows the user to choose whether or not the direction of the repeated scale pattern continues to ascend chromatically OR descend at the user’s discretion.

As a vocal coach I’m constantly asked to teach “on location”, and the potential is certainly there with this App to become the Go-To App for coaches not wishing to schlep their keyboard around to every gig.

These 2 suggestions go a LONG way toward making that a reality!

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

I use scales in my voco workout. These are so nice. Highly recommend

### 5/5 — Nice

*2024-07-16, version 2.0*

This app is really good, I recommend it

### 5/5 — No sub needed

*2024-07-16*

This is literally the best singing app on this store. I have used it for years. It does what it needs to do and if you use it right and you’ll get better and you will warm up.

In a time where every freaking app needs you to subscribe and hope you’ll forget about the $15-$20 subscription fee This app does not have a subscription element to it and that is worth it

### 5/5 — Does the job

*2024-01-31*

I use this every week to get warmed up before choir rehearsal - thumbs up!

### 5/5 — Awesome

*2023-07-01, version 2.0*

Love tempo control.

Really helps tighten up vocal runs.

Would love more scale options.

Been using this for years.

### 5/5 — Love the app!

*2023-05-09*

I agree with previous comments that user defined ranges would be nice, if that’s possible without making it too complicated! Or are most people capable of a complete range?

### 5/5 — Love it!

*2022-12-28*

A good bit of kit useful to have in your pocket.

### 5/5 — Awesome app!!

*2022-12-05*

This is, hands down, the best app for practicing vocals. The only thing I would say is, id love to have the application still run while the phone sleeps. Other than that, this is a perfect app

### 5/5 — A Pianist accompaniment in my purse!

*2021-10-05, version 2.0*

This is great! I’m a Mezo, and this fits my vocal range very well.

### 5/5 — Excelente
