I really like the active frequency graph it really gives a great visual representation for pitch reference! Endless flexibility with musicxml sheet music support, great price point. Trialed the paid but rarely have opportunities to sing loud enough for good practice, unless I’m driving - not the best time to play with an app. That said, the chances I do have to sing and record, this app records and displays the notes very well, and taught me to associated changes in how certain note changes (etc) felt meant I am overshooting and bouncing back to the note. Made it immediately better. Sampled the built in scales etc - not bad, does all it says if does. If the xml importer works and you can find xml (to have the app play and record the notes from the song you’re working on for example) this would be much much better). May be there, I just didn’t try it. I download this app. THEN I get an annoying pop up telling me that the app has a new update literally (i mean literally) 2 minutes into using the app. Is that so? Is there really an update? I click the pop up and it’s for december 2020. Last I check, we’re in january of 2021. Any and all updates should have been included in my download of the app. Also, it does jackshit to actually show you what notes you are singing. I know that my B notes are strong and they’re the best I can do. It shows me singing shakily and off key. How am I off key when I have a physical instructor directing me how to sing and which notes I’m hitting. It keeps shut down without any message or warning signs as I press the recording button. Sometimes it works but mostly it went wrong. I tried various ways to figure this out but any of these were working. I don’t have sheet music for my songs, so seeing the notes in the key (e.g. Bb) on the margins is helpful, but it would be nice to be able to know which notes are actually in the key while singing. I can kind of hack this now by adding the scale as sheet music, but of course I’m not singing the scale so I will be singing those notes all over the place, and not in ascending or descending order.
