### 4/5 — Landscape Mode

*2026-04-23*

Please update the app to allow for landscape mode on iPads.

### 4/5 — Please Add Landscape mode for iPad and iPhone!!!

*2026-04-17*

Overall, a pretty good app to control my Vespera Pro. But I don’t understand why Vaonis has not enabled landscape mode for my Apple devices? This has been requested by a lot of folks. Please enable this soon! I use a keyboard case for my iPads, it’s extremely difficult to use the app as a result. I’ll change my rating to 5 stars when this is enabled.

### 4/5 — Happy so far with some suggestions

*2026-04-09*

I am happy so far. I did not have the scope a few updates ago where some people experienced serious issues with the scope. I did have an update which turned solar images green for some reason. Both are now fixed. So their quality control could use some improvement. As far as use of the app goes I like a lot of it. Easy to use and set up the scope. I love viewing the images as they come in from the warmth of my home or car. The simple image processing added in the last update was very nice. A few suggestions if anyone is listening: be able to plan a multi-night, mosaic or a viewing with a filter without requiring me to have the scope on and configured on how I would use it. I want to be able to set it up in the app, set how I want the scope to be configured and then, later, when I go to collect data, warn me on the app if I was to start a planned night and the scope isn’t configured as planned. Also landscape mode on an iPad would be nice to have and in today’s age I can’t image it is too difficult. Lastly, many iOS apps can work on M-chip MacBooks it would be nice to run Singularity from my MacBook.

### 4/5 — Très sympa

*2026-03-02*

### 3/5 — Works well for Vespera II but lots of issues and lacks some features

*2025-12-01, version 1.36.11*

App works as expected to some extent.
Too American orientated despite Vaonis stating the Vespera II is ‘proudly’ made in France - asking for ZIP codes for address and only offering E longitude (and not allowing negative longitudes) doesn’t help anyone outside of the US does it!
Mosaic mode is not as nice to look at as other apps such as Seestar or DwarfLab - no images of galaxies just very basic shapes to work with.
No landscape mode for iPad.
iOS widgets would be nice.

### 3/5 — iPad

*2025-05-17*

Please, please add landscape mode for iPads!!!!

### 2/5 — Love the scope, hate the gatekeeping.

*2024-09-15*

First of all, no one loves forced app updates. I'm using the scope for the first time in a couple months, I'm out in the Maine boondocks with one bar of cellular service, and now I've got to download a 326 mb update before I can use the scope. I actually think they're worse than Apple as far as being rigid and overcontrolling with how they need to manage every aspect of the device and the app. I seriously doubt, since the scope worked perfectly well before I went to Europe for a few months, that there was anything earth shattering that absolutely had to be addressed. I'm also really annoyed that, despite pretty much everybody saying please implement landscape mode on the iPad, I'm still stuck holding it in this awkward portrait position. if I'm lucky, this app will update and I'll be able to do an observation before sunrise.

### 3/5 — Contrôle du bras

*2024-07-25, version 1.27.5*

### 3/5 — OK, but …

*2024-07-02*

Just got my Vespera Pro and am enjoying Singularity. However it desperately needs:

1. Landscape mode - no one uses iPad in portrait mode, particularly when attached to a Magic Keyboard. This seems a massive oversight.

2. Access point - the WiFi works well, but there are times when the range is not enough (e.g., it’s on the roof and I sleep 2 stories down). Being able to connect the device to your home network would address this and also seems more secure.

3. File transfer over USB. Off loading 50Gb of FIts files over WiFi takes a long time (3hours). USB should be faster.

4. Vision Pro - why have you restricted it? Astronomy is made for Vision Pro. Not asking for anything special here, just let us use the iPad app on Vision Pro.

What would be even better would be enabling the Vespera to have ASCOM compatible drivers so that it could be controlled by more advanced sequencers like NINA.

### 5/5 — Stupéfiant

*2024-01-04*

Merci Vaonis

### 5/5 — The Apple like App Called Singularity

*2023-12-20*

I purchased my robotic telescope from Vaonis last February. And, I must say I’ve had more fun with this app and their hardware than anything I’ve played within years if you’re into astronomy and you’ll quickly be into imaging the robotic telescope, like Vespera and Singularity are definitely the way to go.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Update: lowered to 1 star. Please Add Landscape mode for iPad and iPhone!!!

*2026-08-08*

Update: Still no landscape view for iPad after dozens of requests for this over several years.

### 1/5 — It’s a shame

*2026-01-12*

Beautiful hardware, it’s a pity I can’t get access to it. I’m sure whoever suggested that you add an account and a password made vice president. It’s been about a month since I’ve seen the night sky, and I can’t think of a better use of my time than to try to sort out a useless password. Morons.

### 1/5 — Nul et ne fonctionne pas

*2025-10-26*

### 1/5 — Landscape mode for IPad?

*2025-03-07*

No landscape mode for IPad? Who uses and IPad in portrait mode? What, the French? 🤣

### 1/5 — Moon pics are broken

*2024-10-20*

New update crashes the ability to view the moon properly. You didn’t think to check the moon before pushing out the update? What’s that French word? Oh yeah, amateurs.

### 1/5 — Worst ever

*2024-04-08, version 1.23.0*

Spent so much money and I can’t use the app as it keep saying there’s no internet connection while obviously I’m connected and there’s no way to contact support!

### 1/5 — Please please please add landscape for iPad.

*2023-06-22*

The fact that landscape is not supported on iPad is a huge development oversight. Please support landscape for iPad. No one uses an iPad in portrait mode.

Aside from that, the app seems smooth. Like another reviewer, I too downloaded the app in anticipation of my Vespera being delivered tomorrow. That being the case, I haven’t used it outside of signing up and a quick browse through the tabs to see what is offered. Not much going on in the app without the telescope connected, so I’ll update my review after I spend some time with it.

Seriously, the app being forced into portrait mode makes me apprehensive to even open the telescope. If I have to use the app in portrait, I’m not sure I even want the hardware. Please fix this asap.

### 1/5 — Keeps losing connection toiPad

*2021-11-23*

Software crashes all the time. Can only get a few short images before the unit crashes and the power has to be reset. I would love to see it work seeing as though so far it’s a $4,000 paperweight without this application.

### 2/5 — Crashing constantly

*2026-04-25*

Vpro, while attempting to view/resume multi night files

### 2/5 — Works well with Vespera II but lots of issues and lacks some features

*2026-01-02, version 1.36.11*

App works as expected with my Vespera II. No major issues yet.
Too American orientated despite Vaonis stating the Vespera II is ‘proudly’ made in France - asking for ZIP codes for address and not allowing negative longitudes.
Mosaic mode / Skyatlas is not as nice to look at as other apps such as Seestar or DwarfLab. Images of objects blurred so having to use Google to see what the object looks like.
No landscape mode for iPad except when observing. Very strange. I really like my Vespera, but unless the app is vastly improved I will be switching back to Seestar if they release an updated S50 in the future.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Carte du ciel

*2026-05-21*

### 5/5 — Best smart telescope!

*2026-04-09, version 1.38.7*

The Vespera telescope is simply incredible. The quality of the photos it produces is stunning — seeing galaxies and nebulas with this level of detail feels almost unreal.

Every session feels like an experience, not just an observation. There’s something magical about watching these objects come to life right in front of you.

Honestly, it makes me feel like Captain Kirk traveling through space in Star Trek. Exploring the universe from my own backyard never gets old.

If you’ve ever looked up at the night sky and wondered what’s out there, this app brings it all within reach. Absolutely amazing.

### 5/5 — Clean and well designed

*2025-06-04*

I had been using the app with my Vespera 2 for a while now and find the app excellent. Not a single crash or hanging. The app is well designed and very easy to navigate through. You are never more than a tap or two away from whatever you are trying to do.

The only area for improvement I would suggest: show better catalog images instead of extremely blurred images that are not that useful.

Keep up the good work Team!

### 5/5 — M. Éric L

*2025-05-05, version 1.34.6*

### 5/5 — Love it!

*2024-12-10*

It is an awesome scope and the app is so easy to use. Highly recommend!

### 5/5 — Sehr gute, einfach zu bedienende Software

*2024-08-23*

### 5/5 — Fun and satisfying

*2024-06-11*

I enjoy both the automatically stacked images created by the device as well as saving each raw image and doing the alignment, stacking, and processing myself.

The app is very well done, making it easy to find objects of interest and capture them.

### 5/5 — Vaonis is a great company

*2024-04-23*

I have owned the Stellina for a few years and love it. The app singularly works well with it and if you are a busy person and don’t have the time to set up your own astro photos, this is the way to go. I love this telescope and the app that goes with it.

### 5/5 — App passt gut zum Produkt!

*2024-03-27*

### 5/5 — Good app!
