## Newest reviews (13 of 201)

### 3/5 — Seemed promising

*2026-08-11, version 8.6.0*

But didn’t deliver on some of the most basic features. Namely:
Isn’t automatically redirecting to old.reddit.com
Doesn’t actual set dark most of the time.

### 2/5 — Fixed (for a short time)

*2026-06-25*

„Use our app“ nag fix was broken for a few days, but is now working again.
Edit: Seems Reddit updated this annoyance again, so currently not usable.

### 2/5 — Doesn't really improve things

*2026-06-13*

The recently re-appeared nag screen "use our app" (the one thing I definitely won't do) isn't blocked. Maybe an update is necessary. Until then forcing the browser into desktop mode is the only thing that makes reddit usable.

### 3/5 — Good app, but several bugs

*2026-06-05, version 7.124.0*

I prefer using Sink It over the native Reddit app, but there have been a few bugs that have been bothering me:

1. When I return to the app, I can see about 3 posts before it stops allowing me to scroll. This happens when I previously had the app open, but do something else on my phone for a little while before going back into the app.

2. There is now a “View in Reddit” banner at the bottom of the screen every time I open Reddit.

3. Clicking on a picture from the feed will never load the image anymore. This used to be functional until sometime in May I think.

4. Back when I could get the image to load in, I couldn’t pinch to zoom from the main feed without the page being reloaded. This never worked for me.

5. Videos sometimes fail to load from the main feed or even once I click into the post. I think this is mostly YouTube videos.

6. I would like swipe gestures between multiple picture posts. The button is a little small, making it difficult to always press.

### 4/5 — Getting ads

*2026-05-21, version 7.123.0*

I tried using the “contact us” link on the website, but it was dead or unreachable. I wanted to notify you with a screenshot that I have from today that I’m seeing ads again. I have a promoted post for a mattress company in my feed. I have the pro or upgraded version of Sink It.

### 3/5 — good idea

*2026-05-10, version 7.123.0*

I like the idea but it still gives the new reddit, thought it would give the old reddit vibes however i was incorrect

### 4/5 — Almost perfect RES replacement

*2026-03-28, version 7.120.0*

It’s like 90% there for me, it just needs a better dark mode theme. I use it on desktop and the contrast between the background and the text is too much on an oled screen.

### 2/5 — I REALLY want to like this, but the Back button bug is brutal!

*2026-02-24, version 7.110.0*

If the dev can fix this would be near perfection. But the back button not returning you to the previous page is a hard problem to ignore. I pray it’s fixed soon as I want to give this a 5 star

### 5/5 — Legends

*2025-12-12, version 7.105.0*

Thank you for TIRELESS updates, just CONSTANT as y’all battle the marketers and pencil pushers ensheeteefying the company - thank you for a better reddit

### 5/5 — Better than the native app

*2025-12-10, version 7.104.0*

Thank you!

### 5/5 — Great app

*2025-12-07, version 7.104.0*

You’re a rockstar

### 3/5 — Mostly great!

*2025-12-02, version 7.104.0*

I love using Reddit through Sink It. My two smaller concerns (before I consider this app perfect) are:

1. The traffic lights on the iPad iOS 26 version get in the way when I resize the app. It makes it impossible to back out of any post.
2. Whenever I zoom into an image while on the main feed, the page refreshes and I lose my place.

I’m hoping someday you can add better buttons or swiping gestures to swipe through images someday, which would tie a huge boost to usability. What we have now works, but I accidentally open a picture or post more often that I swipe through pictures when I try to hit those buttons.

### 5/5 — Thank you

*2025-10-23, version 7.101.0*

This is an amazing app. That’s all I can say. I’m just trying wiring for shortcuts (web apps) support.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — I tried but I can’t find value in it

*2026-07-11, version 8.4.0*

All I want is the dang “download Reddit app” banner gone. It says it does it but it fails to do so. It also is really buggy. It’s just not at all worth it

### 1/5 — Doesn’t stop the new “get the app” pop up.

*2026-06-21, version 8.1.0*

I downloaded this hoping it would prevent the annoying new “get the Reddit app to keep using Reddit” pop up but unfortunately it does not. So I will be deleting it.

### 1/5 — No longer blocks subscribe banner

*2026-06-11, version 8.0.0*

It used to be great but now it doesn’t block the subscribe banners that prevent scrolling. I hope it can be fixed!

### 1/5 — Needs update

*2026-01-31, version 7.108.0*

Reddit updated their site so now the app is not functioning correctly. Opening any link or returning to any feed opens up your user settings which has to be dismissed every single time. Also safari reloads often while you are scrolling or watching a video, causing you to have to restart.

### 1/5 — Doesn’t work most of the time

*2025-12-26, version 7.106.0*

Title

### 1/5 — This extension has literally never worked

*2025-12-20, version 7.106.0*

I’ve asked on reddit and never got support. This extension does nothing.

### 1/5 — Terrible

*2025-11-12, version 7.103.0*

Has no option to get rid of recently viewed posts, the news / trending bar and the side bar or getting back the old new reddit UI, 1 star. They said they would the side bar but haven’t, garbage app.

### 1/5 — Terrible

*2025-10-17, version 7.101.0*

Has no option to get rid of recently viewed posts, the news / trending bar and the side bar or getting back the old new reddit UI, 1 star.

### 1/5 — this extension doesn’t do anything

*2025-08-08, version 7.95.0*

As the title says, I can’t observe any change. I’ve gone through the setup, watched YouTube workarounds, asked for help on reddit. Nothing ever happens with this extension.

### 1/5 — Critical bugs prevent use

*2025-06-17, version 7.91.0*

I want to like this app but it just doesn’t work anymore. I’ve been excited about each recent patch but I have been infinitely loading when scrolling down on the all/popular feeds for weeks. It’s unusable for that reason. Unfortunately, Reddit itself is also unusable without this app due to an endless stream of political garbage I don’t care to see. This app was great at filtering that out, until the infinite scrolling issue. I’ll keep checking in, but currently I can’t recommend this to anyone.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — This is the best app for Reddit that you can get if you’re still using Safari!

*2026-06-23, version 8.2.0*

If you’re trying to avoid the Reddit app nags, you must have this app.

The developers of this app have been constantly battling for years and in the recent months, even more intensely with the Reddit app developers to fight official Reddit apps nags that are happening on Safari more and more frequently.

This is the only app that I’m aware of that can really combat those apps nags and I’m currently in contact with one of the developers to combat yet another persistence and recent app nag that I and a few others are experiencing. Sink It for Reddit Team have done an excellent job of being able to update the app and consistently continue the fight to battle official Reddit app developers.

### 5/5 — Can’t use Reddit without it

*2026-05-27, version 7.123.0*

Once in a while falls behind Reddit, it great most of the time. I can’t use Reddit without it.

### 5/5 — Great to break addiction!

*2026-05-23, version 7.123.0*

Thanks for adding in my request for the office hours feature. I rely on that heavily. Anyway it could just apply to weekdays? Keep it up!

### 5/5 — Filter by keyword

*2026-05-05, version 7.123.0*

The ability to mute by keyword is amazing. Wonderful app. Finally the 20% of Reddit trash is quiet which lets me enjoy the rest

### 5/5 — Infinitely better than stock app/website

*2026-05-02, version 7.123.0*

iOS Reddit app sucks. I don’t want to pay subscription to narwhal. I’ve used this for months now and have happily donated to the devs. Quality of life improvements are massive. Thank you so so much

### 5/5 — Excellent!

*2026-04-20, version 7.121.0*

If you use a browser to Reddit, Sink It is an absolute must-have. It will improve the quality of your life.

### 5/5 — Just use Reddit on the web

*2026-03-13, version 7.111.0*

Forget all those finicky Reddit apps with subscription fees. Ditch the official app with the endless ads for St*te F*rm. You have a full browser called Safari. Use it to browse Reddit with this well thought out extension.

### 5/5 — Simple easy free

*2026-01-03, version 7.106.0*

The actual Reddit app is garbage. And forces you to login for just browsing. This is the solution

### 5/5 — Great

*2026-01-02*

Thank you for this amazing app! I was almost done with Reddit, because the webpage is seemingly purposefully terrible. One question: In dark mode, the text (post titles, comments) are too dark - is there a way to modify this?

### 5/5 — Recent misses

*2025-12-29, version 7.106.0*

Great app overall. There have been recent changes that have snuck ads through, though
