## What is Sippur?

Sippur is a quiet place to read.

Every day, Sippur gives you one short story,  a single, carefully chosen piece of public-domain literature, and nothing more.

The library holds more than 200 timeless works: the fables of Aesop, the wit of Chekhov and Maupassant, the moral clarity of Tolstoy, the quiet strangeness of Kafka, ghost stories and folk tales, philosophical parables, and short masterpieces from traditions around the world, all in the public domain.
