### 3/5 — Amusing but Too Random

*2018-08-27*

Kind of cute if you just want to walk around and swat at things for a little while. There are also some little secrets to discover, which is always fun. Everything is random, however, and while the monsters gradually get tougher, your skills and equipment don’t keep pace. There’s almost no sense of progression from game to game, and achieving the hardest objectives seems laughably unlikely. There’s also a “crafting” ability which doesn’t seem to do anything.

All in all, it’s a game that’s fun to explore for a while but which is too disconnected and luck-based to be satisfying in the long run.

### 3/5 — Fun but..

*2018-08-11, version 1.7.0*

Never got my newsletter code

### 3/5 — I would give more stars if it stopped...

*2018-07-02*

... asking me to subscribe to a newsletter.
Paid games shouldn’t get away with stuff like this.

### 3/5 — too small text letters

*2018-06-23*

i like turn bases roguelikes. this game has interesting gameplay. my phone is iphone se. the text letters in this game are too small to read.

i think there are enough screen space to enlarge letters.

### 2/5 — Game plays well, But..

*2018-06-19*

Sooner or later we run out of food and weapons. There is a ‘crafting’ stat, but weapons do not craft. There is an ‘alchemey’ stat, but potions do not mix, ingredients do not drop, etc. There is a merchant, but too few coins.

I don’t know how far the game goes, or even if the game reaches an end.

### 2/5 — Dud

*2018-06-12*

Really boring. The bad design problem here is that 90% of the monsters pose no real threat to you. They are only there to drain you of a tiny bit of weapons|health. But they can’t actually kill you. This is bad design because it makes the game very uninteresting—more of a matter of managing resources than actually fighting and adventuring. I guess if you enjoy managing resources you may enjoy this stinker.

### 2/5 — Bugs, progression issues

*2018-06-10*

I like the bones of this game, but there are a lot of issues that take a compelling system and turn it into a frustrating and ultimately boring experience.

Gathering money seems either inconsistent or bugged. I never have a chance to afford anything at shops— I could be 8 levels down and only have 20 coins, in spite of multiple money drops from enemies. Something feels off about that, when items hover around 60-90 gold each.

Within the game, I signed up to the newsletter to unlock the Voodoo character but nothing happened. Really frustrating!!

The road to unlock other characters is waaaaay too long. To get the knight, it looks like I have to finish five objectives— For the first objective, I have to gather 150 skulls. I run into at least 6-8 skulls per run, but I’m fairly certain that some of the skulls I collect aren’t being recorded. Perhaps offer multiple active objectives or lessen the amount of grind required to finish one objective?

I don’t think I’d be this frustrated if I didn’t pay 2.99 for this. It’s a fair price for a well made indie game on mobile, and I hope the developer can address these issues that keep it from being such.

### 2/5 — Wouldn’t pay for it

*2018-06-09*

This game has some serious logic flaws. The quests seem to cause the necessary creatures or items NOT to spawn. I had one quest to pick up metal round shields. I had a lot of these spawn in my previous run and figured I could complete this. Not ONE single metal shield spawned during that run. You also run into things too early in the game to be useful. I’ve run into shops before and I had even fought 1 monster. The game logic just seems to not work correctly. I will change my review once the quests are fixed.

### 3/5 — Fun game, but crashing with update

*2018-06-05*

I am enjoying this game so far, but after updating today, I have had it crash at least 4 times so far. Before I did not have it crash even once. iPad Pro, latest IOS, latest update. Tried even rebooting iPad.

### 3/5 — Alright, too expensive.

*2018-06-02*

It’s a good game, but there are much better ones for the same price. Not entirely worth it.

### 4/5 — Very fun and surprisingly deep so far

*2018-05-25*

I am a sucker for rogue lite style games, and this one is perfect for fans of the genre on the mobile. To get the small negatives out of the way, I hope the developer can do something about the small font, as it is a bit hard to read on an iPhone 8 screen. Also, I would like some of the item descriptions to be a little more specific as they can be a bit confusing.

The two choice system makes this a great game for playing in short bursts. The reward system is good for giving you something to work towards, all while keeping the pressure on you to make good use of what you earn. Once you get on a roll you will start to know when to use certain items and when to save them for later. Again, I really hope the developers continue to improve on the game; with a little polish this could easily be one of my most played games on my phone!

### 1/5 — Quit being Jackasses FIX THE GAME

*2019-09-05*

It would be real easy to 'fix' this game. read all of the viewer complaints and adjust the game. What happened here is that the game ended up being promoted by the app store and the developers got their money. they will probably never fix the game.

### 1/5 — Don’t bother

*2018-08-16*

Seems ok at first until you figure out quests. 55 brooms to complete first quest which after a week I have 20 of. Can’t play another person until after 5 quests like that are completed. Waste of time.....

### 1/5 — FIX OBJECTIVES

*2018-08-07*

My first objective is to collect 55 brooms. After playing the game for hours I only have one broom. Please allow players to work on two or three objectives simultaneously, and reduce the requirements to complete the objectives. Completing them are the only way to unlock new characters, but I would have to play the game for a thousand hours to get ONE out of FIVE objectives done to unlock ONE of the new characters. I will change the review to five stars once this is fixed.

### 1/5 — Dreadful waste of money.

*2018-06-13*

Roguelikes are based on random chance and skill to survive a situation. Instead this game has you do random things against random monsters for absolutely no reason. If “good gameplay” is considered walking back and forth in a hallway and hitting every creature you find, then this is a jackpot. Since that’s obviously not good gameplay, it’s safe to say this is an overpriced, untuned waste of your time.

### 1/5 — I liked it but latest update = keeps crashing

*2018-05-30*

Title says it all

### 2/5 — XS Max, iOS 12.x

*2018-10-26*

Surprising depth that would keep me coming back for more were it not for how poorly the app handles landscape on XS Max. The game and inventory screen, which are side-by-side in landscape, fail to take advantage of the screen area (ie, both are quite small in landscape) and the inventory appears shaded. In other words, the UI—too small and dark in landscape mode—interferes with what otherwise would be an exceptional experience. Note that SQ requires a great deal of inventory management (read: screen taps), which makes switching back and forth so often in portrait mode feel quite onerous. It just doesn’t feel good to play in its current state.

### 2/5 — Way too much RNG garbage

*2018-08-14*

This game had a great concept, witch was why I bought it without hesitation, but it's not even skill based at all. There are a lot of factors in this game to where if you don't randomly get good enough loot, you die immediately to over powered bossed that you can't run away from. Sometimes items that say heal you, kill you, and you always have to start over with nothing. I deleted it because it just got to frustrating when they give you a stick to kill a monster that kills you in one hit. You can't back track, it's randomly generated, so the dungeon you wanted to go to after you got the key no longer exists after you leave the room. Fix the RNG and make it more skilled or at least let you run from the bosses if you have garbage RNG loot.

### 2/5 — Bad,boring, no end in sight

*2018-08-14*

I’ve played rogue lite games before and this one is bad. It’s truly random in the sense you get random different styles of keys and then run into random different styles of doors. Not terrible but the chance you have the right key to the right door seems to be about 2% of the time with no way to go back to previous doors. Played this game for 6 hours and have only been able to buy 1 item from the shop on luck. Quests objective seem to vanish when you’re looking for them and then reappear when you aren’t . It’s not a good game and it’s not worth your money .

### 2/5 — Have to cheat to win

*2018-08-12*

Spoiler alert : it’s impossible to win unless you drink 4 invisibility potions (which have a 50% chance of not turning you invisible and instead attracting monsters) and rob the merchant of at least 100 items. Even with fifteen each of the best weapons, necklaces, potions, shields and other items I barely beat the final boss. Can’t imagine it would have been possible without robbing the merchant blind.

### 2/5 — Cool idea, not enough to do

*2018-06-24, version 1.6.0*

I love the look and concept of this game, but for a paid app i am disappointed in how quickly it became monotonous.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — A thumb up for the Questionair.....

*2018-06-24*

The Charming pixel art style has become an enjoyable retro staple for the Orange Pixel games. The idea in Sir Quesionair is a stripped back one screen at a time pick up and one thumb play rogue like.. Collect items, unlock chests and doors. Protect your self with Shields. Defeat multiple monsters, make choices and use items .... oh and die again. Play again. Feels like a nod to those story books I played as a kid.
Fun and quirky, with a voice over man adding an edge of epic.
A fantastic piece of mobile game distraction, exactly what a pick up and play game should be. Cheers again Mr Pixel.
Please add option for voice over man always on :)

### 5/5 — OrangePixel forever!! =D

*2018-06-23*

Yet again, it's an OP game that's quite a bit deeper than it seems at first. There's so many little things to discover and play with (I'd list off some things here, but I don't want to spoil anything for anyone).
For a game with two options at any given time, it's a great turn-based roguelike. If you're a fan of the genre, this is most definitely a game you should devote some time to.
Wonderful OrangePixel graphics, wonderful OrangePixel gameplay... Can't ask for more.
=D

**UPDATE**
This game has received quite a few updates since its release... It's given players a lot of new enemies, enemy clusters and new areas/items/playable characters to explore and try to find/unlock... Ensuring a LOT more replay value.
I can not praise this game enough. Chances are it'll be in my top 3 favorite games of 2018, if not my #1 favorite!
HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!!!

### 5/5 — Awesome

*2018-06-21*

The best game I had been playing ... if you want to have some fun ... get this game!

### 5/5 — Milk is the most dangerous enemy

*2018-06-10, version 1.3.2*

And the greatest skill to have in this game it to read before tapping.

### 5/5 — Great little rogue like

*2018-05-24*

Super easy to pick up and play. The core gameplay loop is surprisingly fun with only 2 options at any given point. Only downside is it is a bit short & there isn't much to do once you have beaten the dungeon. But besides that its a fun time!

### 5/5 — Classic Fun!

*2018-05-24*

Great turn based RPG Hack & Slash! Superb classic hand drawn pixel art with a great audio track. Well designed for mobile. Lots of surprises. Don’t even think about it- it’s a bargain at this price!

### 4/5 — Long Term Game

*2018-06-21*

Many of the classes you can unlock require serious time put in the game. There is one unlocked by the mail list but will not unlock despite having signed up.

### 4/5 — Fun but not worth $3

*2018-06-12, version 1.3.2*

This is fun but it’s expensive

### 4/5 — How to unlock voodoo, please show me the procedure.

*2018-06-12, version 1.3.2*

How to unlock voodoo, please show me the procedure.

### 4/5 — Artistically appealing, but room for more.

*2018-06-10*

I’m playing on an iPad so font size isn’t an issue, but it should be addressed for other devices. The art style is pretty cute although some of the sprites could use some definition. The brightness/contrast seems VERY dark and I wouldn’t hate seeing more of what I’m looking at. Since it’s a new game I’ll leave it at that and hope for updates.
